According to the latest figures over 500 people died yesterday as a result of Covid.

I wonder how the morons on here who were rejoicing "Freedom Day" last week would be able to convince the relatives and friends of those who had died, that the relaxation of the rules was a good thing?

Yet all the morons seemed to be bothered about was going to the pub, and not having to wear a mask.

Completely selfish.

I was shocked when I saw that but it includes a recalculation to include reinfections back to the beginning of the pandemic, all those got added on today's figure, hopefully tomorrow will be lower

I think if you spent more time in the pub, you'd be a happier, less scared and judgemental person. If I could, I'd prescribe it to people of your nervous disposition. Going regularly week-in, week-out, seeing the same faces over and over. Nobody dies. You might even be able to call it safe and effective.

We don’t need a daily death report and don’t have it for the average of around 1600 deaths per day in the UK.

Sadly in life people die, always have always will, but dissecting figures & breakdowns on it daily isn’t healthy for anyone.

After avoiding getting Covid for last 2 years I finally tested positive this morning, after feeling rough last night. Almost certainly picked it up at the Fulham match on Saturday 😟

Not so sure you would have liked it that much Tommy, pubs in Scotland, I can remember going into a pub in Glasgow just before ten at night and they were calling for last orders and in Wales no pubs were opened on Sunday,
In England pubs opened around midday and closed 2.30ish opening again at 5/6pm until 11pm.
There were exceptions to this I can remember a pub or two around Covent gargen in London having special hours to cater for the porters.
I am fairly sure even off licences had specific opening times.

whereas I disagree with the views on covid by AK and ROT and believe that everyone should be vaccinated the o/p's views are consistently over the top and extreme. Poolseasider calls it right. The o/p needs to get a life because he certainly doesn't seem to have one right now.
 
Just tested positive yday evening myself and I've already had my booster jab back in December it feels like I've been run over by a truck horrible feeling
 
Surely after all this time we've learnt that the daily numbers "by date announced" fluctuate wildly due to delays in reporting over weekends and holidays and that figure is virtually meaningless, using the OP's logic 51 people died on Monday, which is also a nonsense.

The OP is trying to score political points on the back of people's deaths.

Google ONS death statistics and the answer's there.

It was about 90% who died "OF" in the first year, it's been dropping down since then as vaccinations progressed and it was (from memory) about 75% before Omicron hit.

True. I'm not really a reprobate but just like winding up the ever-so noble stay at home types who have imposed their nonsense on everyone else for far too long. My parents in their late 70's are just back from a 2 week holiday in Spain first thing they did was go out for a pub meal with a couple they meet weekly.
My Dad goes to the pub twice a week with his best friend late 80's and their mates,is currently on a coach holiday in Wales.
Are they anti anything are they hell but just want to crack on with life.

Whilst you've sod all to do but drive your political driven agenda on here .
LS calls it right your trying to make political hay from a pandemic which makes you one sad individual.

This variant is nothing to worry about.

I was more worried for a couple of weeks afterwards when I was in the gym. If I had an accident and a barbell crushed me and I shed my mortal coil, I knew I’d be a Covid death stat for Olygon to knock one off over…..

72.9% for the latest week ending 21 January, that doesn't mean it wasn't a factor in other deaths as well, just that it wasn't the primary cause.
