Oh Really?Matt O'Reilly would have been a cracking signing...
GO AND GET YOUR COAT!!!!!!Oh Really?
Already long gone.GO AND GET YOUR COAT!!!!!!
Going to MillwallThe winger Oji on loan from Liverpool?
PNE and another unnamed championship club are interested.
Exactly my thoughts. We currently have nobody who looks massively confident to have their foot on the ball in midfield. I fear we’ve left it too late, if we don’t bring one in it’ll be a big mistake..
Could mean the difference between relegation and survival.
If we play 4 2 3 1 and have Stewart, Dougall or Wintle playing as the holding 2 then maybe Carey or Anderson could play as the central attacking midfield player.Exactly my thoughts. Not 10/10, we've made some good signings who may go onto be great signings. If our business is done then I am still quite happy, solved the RB problem by bringing in two quality players, didn't get Brannagan or Dale, but they'll be available in January.
10/10 window for me.
Let me guess his nickname would have been Blimey? He scored an own goal tonight.
I agree, right back is sorted and I think we will get Simms in January so a really great window, but we really do need a midfield playmaker unless the lad from Crewe steps forward, which he could do and I really like Carey. Maybe the way forward is Dougall and Stewart sitting behind Anderson and the play 3 up front, Perm any 3 from Yates, Lavery, Madine, JJT, Bowler, Mitchell or CJ. We have cover everywhere but the only place I would like to see someone is the creative midfield spot.Whilst our 2 signings this morning are excellent and solved our RB problem, we are certainly short in midfield in terms of both attacking quality and physical presence (made worse by injuries). It has been obvious to all of us that we were lacking there from the beginning of the summer / window. I am just surprised that we have left it until the last day of the window to try to address this. Also need another striker for me
Way past bedtime for Grumpy.Busy day for our Phillip today trying to get players into the club.
Our Welsh wizard solved the RB issue and almost got us an extra midfielder in.
Hope we see him posting before the nights over with another transfer coup
It's Carey for me let him loose as he’s an outstanding talent!I agree, right back is sorted and I think we will get Simms in January so a really great window, but we really do need a midfield playmaker unless the lad from Crewe steps forward, which he could do and I really like Carey. Carey could be that man.We have cover everywhere but the only place I would like to see someone is the creative midfield spot.
Still think this will be doneCrewe are in for Joel Valencia (Brentford winger on loan) could this be to replace Owen Dale??
So do I.Still think this will be done
How good is dale meant to be? Good on the ball attacking? If we capped the night off with Owen Dale I'd be quite chuffed. He would address a need (wing/forward depth) while also being an exciting young prospect for the future.
Not as big of a coup as Brannagan, but still addresses a need and is quite sought after.
Would have liked to have gotten another CM through the door, but Stewart, Dougall, and Wintle (and maybe a cheap free agent) will have to do until January when we will probably go in for Brannagan again.
Last hour folks and were thrown a bone.
Exactly that, good on the ball, attacking midfielder but can play out wideHow good is dale meant to be? Good on the ball attacking?
22 year old winger (who can play on either side but prefers RW) who scored 11 and assisted 2 in League 1 last year. How good is dale meant to be? Good on the ball attacking?
Clearly sour grapes if he’s scoring and assisting at the rate he did last season at the age of 21/22…how could they possibly conclude he’s not Championship material at that age?
MSG in the know now?
A lot of comments saying he can go, not a championship player....
Yeah few seemingly Crewe fans in that twitter comments not sure if bitter he might be going or genuine but some not full of praise...22 year old winger (who can play on either side but prefers RW) who scored 11 and assisted 2 in League 1 last year.
Really came on strong towards the end of the season and if he had played like he did in the second half for the whole season he'd probably be going for 7 figures easily.
A good, young, attacking player that will add a lot to the squad (also scored a great bicycle kick last year.)
Won all of Crewe's seasonal awards last year, a real talent IMO.
Was wanted by Blackburn too.
Would definitely class this as an "exciting talent"
He and Nixon are the only journo "sources" I trust. And Scrafters, obviously!
Dunno, only reading whats said and usually teams like Oxford are desperate not to lose them, here they seem happy.Clearly sour grapes if he’s scoring and assisting at the rate he did last season at the age of 21/22…how could they possibly conclude he’s not Championship material at that age?
Yeah I trust that the manager and staff know what they are doing, just had a flick through and didn't see a single positive, which was unusual but didn't know he's forced an exit.Crewe fans are obviously going to say bad things about him, because he's forced this move through.
Any objective analysis would suggest that this a a cracking signing.
