I'm divided on this one - always want English teams to do well but am conflicted by the amount of money that has been pumped in to the club. That said, I do like watching them play, like Pep and quite like some of their players and so will be pleased if they do it on Saturday.

Yes because it will annoy the millions of plazzy Mancs on the Fylde Coast and beyond.

A good mate of mine is a United fan and it's all I've heard for 20 years. 'We're the only one's who will ever do the sacred treble'

Genuinely don't care. If they win it pisses of Utd and Liverpool plastics and I'd be happy for their English lads. If they lose it will be funny because City fans are dicks.

Not for me.

I refuse to watch any of their games now and haven’t for months. The way they play is too good for my liking and it bores me.

What they have done is cheat their way to success. Hope Inter can can put a massive dent in their “fairytale”.

I voted yes because there isn't a "not bothered " option.

They deserve it because they've been excellent this season. That said , there's surely not many to challenge their billions of spending power.

Their next challenge will be fighting the Financial rules allegations in the courts.

They might as well. For what it's worth, it also keeps sportswashing firmly in the spotlight. I only know three diehard city fans and they are all uncomfortable with the the brave new world.

Thing is just about all top flights in all leagues across Europe break rules. That's the way it is, only some though can be successful. Man unshited has spent some £300m more than City over the last few years, yet nobody goes on about them in the same way.

Apart from Grealish at £100m I don't think they've paid masses for others.

yep, will be strongly rooting for them. Inter shouldn't be taken lightly and City won't do that. A typical Italian team who will come out with all the dirty tricks and will try to disrupt the flow of the game at every opportunity. So don't see it being a spectacle of great football for as long as Inter are still in the game.

Yes, always prefer an English team to win. Also in memory my Dad who was from close to Maine Road, and a lad I worked with years ago when they were way down the pyramid, lived in Northamptonshire and followed them everywhere in his Ford Cossy (that dates it !)

Yes because "English cub"
Yes because it'll piss off Man U fans which is always funny to see
No because they have clearly broken FFP rules but will get away with it .
No because its clearly money talking
Yes because they do play some great football which is good to watch
Yes because Pep comes across well (unlike Mourinho & 1 0r 2 others)

So thats a 66.666% YES

Pep does come across well although he's always had the most money to spend with any team he's managed.

Flat track bully innit.

From a football ethics perspective, probably not if they are found guilty. However from a manager and team point of view, 100% yes. They are the best British side I've seen and fully deserve to claim their first CL title.

Don’t mind City fans who’ve been there in league 1 having their day but don’t want it turning into Scotland where Celtic have won 5 trebles out of 7 of Germany

There's plenty on this site who spend their time slagging off the UK, but wanting an Italian club to beat the English champions is poor form.

I hope City do it.
In the early 1960s I worked on Manchester POs, the longest being Newton Heath.
Worked with a 17 y.o. Great lad and had a scooter. We went to a few fairly near games
He was a City fan, and even then I didn't like ManU.
One evening we went to Huddersfield who were playing ShefU, I think.
Huddersfield had this 17 y.o. who covered every blade of grass on the pitch.
My first match with Denis Law. I knew he would be a big name one day. 😜

Like others have said I hope they do it to silence what's left of the United plastics.

They are an incredible team. I'd also they won rather than Internationale.

Inter will be like Roma on Saturday night. Trying every dirty trick in the book. It's the only chance they have.

I want them to win on Saturday, but if they were going to miss out on one I'd rather it have been the PL where I hoped Arsenal would prevail.

I hate Manchester United with a passion we had to endure them and Alex furgosun cheat their way to winning for 20 years and have it rubbed in our faces “furgie time” was a thing of the norm so yeah I want City to win and they are a better team than United ever were

I want them to win as well
They are one of the best league teams in the world at the moment and thoroughly deserve their success and who can say they don’t play entertaining football?
Whilst money is a big factor for success a manager still has to get these megastars to play as a team.
Arsene Wenger once said that the hardest part of management was sorting the egos out.

He didn't spend much at Barcelona. Valdes, Puyol, Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Sergi Roberto all came through the Barca youth system. As did Pique but he had a brief stint with Manchester United before returning to Barca.

But he could have, there was just no one better to buy, although he did spunk fifty million on Ibrahimovic with Eto'o included as a swap.

I've noticed a lot of Man C shirts being worn these days.

As a child of the 1970s, I am a little torn. I always want a UK-team in a Euro final - except for West Ham, whom I hope will be absolutely banjo-ed - but City are only successful because of money. Money that has enabled them to buy the best infrastructure, management and players.

They have won the football lottery.

I'd be delighted if one of my mates won the lottery, particularly if they shared their winnings. But City are like an acquaintance that wins...then posts about their spending... I wouldn't be devastated if Milan won.

All the talk about City buying their way to success is far fetched.

City were the 9th biggest spenders in the EPL last season.

They were the only club in the top 14 whose trading income exceeded expenditure.

City spent £460m less than Chelsea despite buying the same number of players.

City spent £45m less than Forest on players.

What should be said is that City brought in the best manager in football and he signed the best players and coached them to be the most effective side in world football.

.Yep agree. Was watching an interview with Noel Gallagher before the cup final last saturday and he was dispelling the theory that the title race is just a one horse race with the rest as also rans. He said something along the lines that of the last five or six times they've won the EPL, four of them have been only on the last day of the season. Something along those lines anyway.

Don't all the Champions of the PL and Championship buy success? OK there is always an exception to the norm i.e. Leicester City.
When Man Utd were top dog they were spending more than other clubs on players.

Now City have taken it to the next level people don't like it. It's Rich Man vs Rich Man and not club v club.

Football is fooked. Come on City!

City haven't been charged with spending money. A lot of people actually don't understand what the charges are, hence some of the comments on here. They've been charged with how they illegally obtained that money in the first place. All this talk of how much Chelsea, United etc have spent in comparison is totally irrelevant.
Having said that, putting all the FFP charges aside, they're a great team who have been coached very well. So credit to the players and manager. It isn't their fault if the owners have been breaking the rules. That's of course unless they were complicit in the rule breaking. But until they're cleared of the charges there'll be a huge question mark against them.

The posts you quoted were in response to accusations that City are only successful because of money and are buying trophies. Clearly, the figures show that's not the case. The litigation concerning how City obtained the money they've spent is another matter and City say they can show those charges are false. Whether or not that's the case, I doubt that it's made any difference to the number of trophies they've won.
