Presumably someone only noticed the mistake just before our game. Why did it take 23 days to reach that conclusion?
Then EFL trophy next round tie on 9th!!!I think it will almost certainly be a weakened team for the cup game
6 games in 17 days. That's piss poor by the F.A.
16 Dec - Cambridge (A)
19 Dec - FGR or Scarborough (H)
23 Dec - Bristol Rov (H)
26 Dec - Burton (A)
29 Dec - Port Vale (A
1 Jan - Lincoln (H)
Edit - then either Forest away or Leyton Orient away on 6th Jan
Deserved to be criticised it’s an absolute shambles. None of this shit is blackpools fault at all but being made the ones to suffer. Shit show from the FA and EFLWas surprised we so openly criticised the FA if I'm honest, but it's 100% justified
Nothing to do with thatThe FA really don't like us do they.
Plus a replay at FGR?I think it will almost certainly be a weakened team for the cup game

What's it to do with then because it sounds like your defending them?Nothing to do with that
We should request our game goes straight to penalties if a draw.... seems they can accommodate that sort of thing.Everyone's a winner......except us! Scarboro were out, now they are back in. FGR should've been out for fielding an ineligible player....now they get another chance. Meanwhile we are the big losers both financially and the accumulative physical impact on the playing squad.
Not really, it's being reported that Barnsley were also offered a replay but they chose to decline itOne rule for carnivores another rule for vegans. Shocking.
No , got to be a winner on the night . Pens etcAnd what happens if they draw on the 12th? I'm assuming they then have to replay it on the 19th?

Not defending them in the slightest. What's it to do with then because it sounds like your defending them?
Only us could end up suffering because of someone else's problem and incompetence.
They hit us hard with everything and it's no coincidence.
Isn't every fielding of an ineligible player technically an "admin error"?Just seen this from the FGR forum quoting a statement from Dale Vince.
“When investigations take place and rulings get announced in football, fans are often left confused as to what actually went on - making them wonder what the hell is happening at their club. Our recent charge came about after we failed to tell the FA that we had permission from the player's home club to be part of our FA Cup squad. They recognised we had approval for the player - but that we had not told them, which was our mistake. In the grand scheme of things this was an admin error, so we appreciate the FA's acceptance of what happened and their judgement.
SAFC will get to keep all the money from the gate for this replay, as is right - but to go one step further, we will cover our own expenses and travel, which usually get deducted from the total gate. Hopefully this means something good can come from this.
Fair play to them.

They failed to inform the FA of the permission, therefore they fielded an ineligible player. They should have been kicked out the competition.
Is the game at FGR or Scarborough??No , got to be a winner on the night . Pens etc
it's at ScarboroughIs the game at FGR or Scarborough??
The FA are drawing a distinction between a player who would've been eligible had the paperwork been filed properly, and a player who could never have been eligible, such as someone who was cup tied, suspended, or wasn't at the club at the time of the first leg.Isn't every fielding of an ineligible player technically an "admin error"?

This is why we won't do that, it could be very important income.Play the youth team, bollocks to the FA and the FA cup this season.
Whilst an away tie at Notts Forest would be nice, the league is far more important and should be prioritised.
Actually quite like the shout to pull out the competition and really make a stance.

We Will probably get fined for fielding a weakened team as well knowing the FA!It massively impedes on the integrity of the competition. We'll probably have to play a very weakened side with the proximity of the fixtures, giving the other team a better chance of getting through.
Hypothetically, FGR who fielded an intelligible player gain an advantage against us because they broke the rules. Ridiculous.
How far is a "tad"?If it was a bit nearer, I would have considered going and supporting Scarborough. But, it's a tad too far.
Synonyms of tadHow far is a "tad"?
No, the reason seems to be that they had permission from the parent club, but failed to explicitly inform the FA of that fact.So it appears that the reason for weren't expelled was because the fa didn't tell them that the player didn't have permission from the parent club to play. It just gets better and better.
About two thirds of a smidgeonHow far is a "tad"?
So somewhere between "over yonder" and "a fair ways"?About two thirds of a smidgeon

And we appeal anything it’s an extended ban/fine or other form of shaftingJust read that Barnsley didn't appeal whereas FGR did. Bloody hell..
It's not either or, as said on another thread, that money could help fund that next level of player that makes the difference.Compared to the money we could potentially earn by going up….
What if it was postponed because of the weather? There’s no way we could fit it in before then. They’d probably expel us for failing to fulfil a fixture. Then EFL trophy next round tie on 9th!!!
That's the problem with all these home games in the next month we're bound to lose one or more due to frost. What if it was postponed because of the weather? There’s no way we could fit it in before then. They’d probably expel us for failing to fulfil a fixture.
