Seems to have gone largely without mention bar the match thread.
Sky didn't show it back either, i assume to cover up the referees incompetenceLooked like a deliberate foul to me.
So much so that the culprit tried to feign injury, to avoid a yellow or red card.
Let's hope Grimshaw makes a speedy recovery.
He did speak to him. Think it's pretty conclusive it wasn't on purpose.Ref never even spoke to archer just a drop ball. Awful refereeing in that situation
Get well soon Danny.
Are we sure it was Archer's foot that made contact?
'Cos from this picture his foot is well away from Grimmy's head, it looks more like his knee.....
Agree with that. At the time it just looked like one of those unfortunate challenges that the striker had every right to go for.At the time I didn't think it was on purpose. No malice just went for the ball, nothing he could do really.
They don't show replays if it looks potentially very serious for the injured player, which is a good thing.Sky didn't show it back either, i assume to cover up the referees incompetence
Actually Sky did show a replay. He caught him with his knee, not his foot.Sky didn't show it back either, i assume to cover up the referees incompetence
Whatever he 'caught' him with, it looked deliberate to me. He was determined to leave something on him because he was frustrated at not getting to the ball first. Should have been a sending off in my view, and likely would have been with var.Actually Sky did show a replay. He caught him with his knee, not his foot.
PS Glad Grimshaw’s ok
He spoke to him to ask if his knee was alright after hitting the nasty man's head.He did speak to him. Think it's pretty conclusive it wasn't on purpose.

Thanks for your concern 're Grimmy btw.
Ha Ha yes. Bit like 'his eye gave my knuckles a nasty bruise'.He certainly could have avoided the collision looking at that angle on the photo.
However Id give Archer the benefit of the doubt as he could have sustained a very serious injury to his knee with the impact.
Dangerous and risky thing to do if it was malicious.
Given the speed he was travelling at its highly unlikely, in my opinion, he could have deliberately manoeuvred his knee into Grimshaws face. I’ve watch it back on sky a number of times and it definately wasn’t his foot.Whatever he 'caught' him with, it looked deliberate to me. Grimshaw was on the ground clutching the ball. I could sprint ten yards and hit a stationary object with my knee every time. But I agree, he made it look like an accident.Given the speed he was travelling at its highly unlikely, in my opinion, he could have deliberately manoeuvred his knee into Grimshaws face. With comments like that, your the one who deserves a terminal illness, and I wouldn't normally wish that on my worst enemy you pile ofBit of a pussy if you ask me, bit of a knock, had 10 mins rest laying down, CAT scan, MRI Scan, mollycoddled by his wife/gf/bf for a day or two, fans sending him recovery wishes like he got a terminal illness.
Does anyone know exactly what injury he has? Heard rumours of a broken jaw
Its ok knob, I was comparing the amount of sympathy he is getting, all it was, was a knock. Dont reply to my posts if you are going to act like ** grimshaw. With comments like that, your the one who deserves a terminal illness, and I wouldn't normally wish that on my worst enemy you pile of
You quoted Premier League rules , does that also apply to EFL ?I think it was "just" concussion, albeit severe, the Premier League has rules on return to play, that basically say the player must be out for at least a week, so possibly he's available for WBA next Friday.
Which explains why we were allowed an additional sub.I think it was "just" concussion, albeit severe, the Premier League has rules on return to play, that basically say the player must be out for at least a week, so possibly he's available for WBA next Friday.
Depends how his symptoms settle. While he still has a headache or dizziness he can’t start to train. There is a 6 day protocol for recovery from head injury. The first is being fit to return to work. Grimmy isn’t at that stage yet so the 6 days hasn’t started. What's the latest on the lad. Out for the season?
Just hope when he comes back his confidence hasn't been hit as hard as his head.
