... and can anyone who votes for Maxwell please attend an immediate psychiatric evaluation.
It doesn’t really matter they’re both good keeper’s, we should be more concerned with our defence at the moment, that’s pretty much all I have to say on the matter as I’m off to bed, got the get up early tomorrow for my psychiatrist to evaluate my state of mind, stuarts decent at his job but would be better if he went full time as a psychiatrist instead of trying to hold down his other part time job as third choice keeper

Whilst I would prefer Grimshaw I don’t think you can really put too much blame on Maxwell since he’s come in.

Let’s look at some of the dross in front of him at times especially our captain Ekipeta who has been absolutely woeful this season and a liability for starters.

Too easy to blame Maxwell for everything though isn’t it.

I don’t think fans are blaming Maxwell for everything , but he has contributed to the poor run. Not commanding his area, being glued to his goal line, flapping his arms like a demented tic tac man. And you yourself said you prefer Grimshaw, take a step back and come to a logical conclusion.

Currently feel Grimmy is the better keeper. What Maxwell bought to the table for the last two seasons was organisational and motivating skills. It was less needed last season with crazy uncle Richard doing the same more effectively, and I think he lost it a bit.

We are very lucky to have both, just like the strikers, they need a good run of form.

The stats are similar for both keepers on points per game and goals conceded. It’s defending as a team that needs to improve.

Grimmy has doffed his cap to Appleton in Spain so hoping back in the starting line up

Maxwell has been a good keeper but he's getting on a bit now. Grimshaw is the future but is he a future PL keeper? Nah, really don't think so.
Whilst I agree, one has no potential sale value and the other quite a bit. If there's little to choose between the 2 you go with your financial head, ignoring MA and not being money minded as such.

It’s interesting to see the different approaches to dressing room management. Critchley initially had issues with the older established players who predated him at the club, whereas Appleton seems to value the older heads and prefers them in the team.

Before the game, I would have preferred Grimmy to regain his place
But credit where it's due, Maxwell had a very good game today.

In the last 20 minutes he made two excellent saves. Firstly he raced off his line (yes really) and gathered the central through ball before their forward could get a toe to it. Secondly he narrowed the angle and closed down a chance from a through ball in their inside left position. The forward got his shot in, but Maxwell saved at point blank range to keep us in it

. He got a bit of stick for not launching attacks quicker but I felt he didn't have many options, and decided to keep possession instead. Connolly deserved the mom, but Maxwell came close imo.

The defence in front of him have been poor and yes fans are blaming Maxwell.
I think they are on a par with Grimmy having the advantage of youth

Grimshaw for me but you have to ask yourself why is both Appleton and McCarthy both opted for Maxi? I suspect it is due to experience but maybe he just looks better in training?

A

nother vote for Moore here
Why on earth would anyone want to give Moore a go?

He’s 28 years old…

Has never featured in a full Championship game, has played only 4 league 1 games and 20+ at L2 level!!!

He’s essentially a Non-League keeper, who’s here for emergencies.

I’d have given him a go on Saturday on our free hit day. A taller capable keeper can be on our future shopping list I’d guess. Otherwise I can’t choose between Max & Grimshaw.
