Happy to contribute again to get it right
If you can make it as good as my kitchen wall mate - you will have done very wellMorning, commented previously that under its current guise the face cant be fixed as the features aren't correct, It needs blanking out and templating. Just so happens that I'm down there having a chat today about the best way to get this right, will update in the PM with the agreed plan Atm its like our first half performance against Swansea, we're needing it more like the QPR performance, so proper planning and a moment of magic should get it right, Bowler didnt score with his first shot either eh
Did purdonkey do your kitchen wall for you?If you can make it as good as my kitchen wall mate - you will have done very well

…and yes the DJ shirt is THE pride of my collection
Have we not got a current up to date pic, so we can see where it’s upto?
I hope he does, but it begs the question if he knows he can get it right, why didn’t he get it right in the first place?Meeting done, Original artist will be back by the end of this month to sort, no assistance required on my part he's 100% he can get it right
I see you haven't been to the armfield yet to roll some heads.Heads should roll for this mistake.
"hurling" that's how feel looking at the monstrosity on Bloomfield road and I too would chip in again ☝Noticed this in Ireland last month.. it's a great bit of wall art..even though it's not football related it's sports related with hurling
Shitebag.** tit.
He only deserves a second opportunity if it’s FOC . Personally I would, as has been suggested, paint it out and start again with an artist who will stick to his brief and accept payment on completion. If he has any confidence in his work he would accept those term knowing full well he would be paid.It all need re-doing including the pink background- when did pink and tangerine go together? Choose a different picture of Jim ( I like the one someone posted earlier this week of Jim when he was younger) It needs to be in a photo real style but can also be more graphic and less painterly if the artist prefers.
He definitely deserves a second opportunity and must know by now what we expect.
Thank you

Hope it’s better than the 1st version, which was Barnet away.Morning, commented previously that under its current guise the face cant be fixed as the features aren't correct, It needs blanking out and templating. The wall looks good, colourful and improves the area, just need the face to match a bit more.I think it looks fine just need to sort the face out so it looks like Jim and all good
Far too much has been made of this if I'm honest
Just get the bloke back foc as its clearly just snagging
Yep thats it just make the face better then all goodThe wall looks good, colourful and improves the area, just need the face to match a bit more.
Well if he's re doing the face he might go for one where the sun isn't making that pronounced a shadow.Looks fine now, the one thing is driving up Bloomfield today the shadows on the face look like there's a tree in the way or something,
I’m no artist but surely the head has to match the body?Well if he's re doing the face he might go for one where the sun isn't making that pronounced a shadow.
He was just matching the initial pic, but it makes sense in the pic because its real and sunny, in the mural it's not really, although his first attempt had a lesser shadow.
As long as the face resembles him it's fine, I'll just wait to see it.I’m no artist but surely the head has to match the body?
Art is in the eye of the beholder, you may think it’s fine others may not. It’s purely a matter of opinion doesn’t make us right nor you right. Some people think picasso could paint, I think his paintings are rubbish. I wish someone would give me one mind, but only to sell.We are truly blessed to have so many renowned art critics on this board and supporting BFC....
Just leave those involved to put it right.
Yup - Brian Sewell eat your heart outWe are truly blessed to have so many renowned art critics on this board and supporting BFC....

Does your head match your bodyI’m no artist but surely the head has to match the body?
I’ve never thought that much about it… .. They both belong to me though..Does your head match your body
So he's either got a body shaped head or a head shaped body?Does your head match your body
So he's either got a body shaped head or a head shaped body?
Either way, you'll see him coming.
Well said Rox...As Rob Purdon mentioned earlier in the thread a meeting took place earlier today and a full face and sign repaint will take place later this month.
Rest assured this is a project close to all our hearts and we are determined to deliver a piece of art everybody can be proud of.
Being in regular contact with the artists and others involved with the project including the Armfield family we felt it wise not to engage with some of the negative comments on this forum.
Thanks to everyone who has been involved in the project so far. A lot of hard work and energy has already been expended and we are grateful for this. Thanks also to those who have been supportive, we really appreciate your understanding.
We have been working hard towards a solution and will continue to do so until we get there.
So folks let’s please be patient and we can review how things look later this month.
UTP !

Rightly so… Looked like a 20 year old had drawn it when I was there. No wonder they only let him loose on the ceiling…Well said Rox...
When Michelangelo first painted the Sistine Chapel he was slated on A View from the Colosseum.

It’ll be good for all the Art Critics to get together with the Football Recruitment Critics and the New Player Football Allegiance Critics. Hopefully the SLO Critics will make an appearance along with the Moretti Bar Critics and the Pie Critics, so that the Pyrotechnics Critics and the Offensive Chant Critics have someone to talk toWell said.
Once it’s all sorted I’m presuming the art critics will be visiting the Armfield Club to support & frequent one of the best football supporter bars in the Country…
Bet most have never actually been in…
We’d need the 3 floors of the club for this. It’ll be good for all the Art Critics to get together with the Football Recruitment Critics and the New Player Football Allegiance Critics. We could call our collective gathering the BFC HypocritesWe’d need the 3 floors of the club for this.
I especially like the shirt sizing critics. The ones who moan that they are usually an XXXL but have had to size up due to poor shirt sizing. Priceless
No venue in the world would want to host this gathering…Can you imagine the complaints. We could call our collective gathering the BFC Hypocrites
Ask him if he's available at the end of the month to stand on the balcony of the Armfield for the artist to use as referenceI’m sat in the sandcastle while my grandson is enjoying himself, boiling hot sat here. The point is I’m looking at a Jimmy lookalike, you could stick him on the wall and you wouldn’t know the difference.
