Absolutely, but we will not see social distancing removed this year, IMHO. Had a lot of mates in Mountain Rescue in the Lakes a few years ago, and they will not have the luxury of not helping those out who get in trouble, without social distancing. Or maybe we just leave folk to die on the hills? Bit like the RNLI on the Prom, if loads of folk are back out in boats, they would also be put at risk. I just think it is unnecessary at this stage in recovery. It’s part of lifting restrictions though I guess. Which will be lifted completely in the weeks to come.
For me, priority is getting as many as possible back to work safely, allowing very limited careful family contact as soon as possible and allowing more people outside near to where they live. For me, if you can run your cafe, shop or hotel safely, you should be allowed to now, well before people can start driving hundreds of miles for a walk or run. Each action adds a little to R, we need to use those bits that are most useful to us as a society.
