Lake District here we come

It always was 🤣🤣

Lala,

I wouldn’t want to restrict you from doing anything that helps your mental health.😊

However, if you can get over the fact you’d be very close to Preston. There are some fantastic walks that would give you the same rush you might need?

I always like reading your posts because you talk common sense. Most of the time!😉

The walk from Skippool to Fleetwood down the estuary is a good one. When I lived in Codland the sense of being trapped by the sea and unable to get to the countryside/wilderness used to do my head in (the front is lovely, but it's busy) and I used to love walking past all the hulks of boats and behind the ICI on the edge of the salt marsh.

I didn't drive then, so it was hard to get out to the countryside proper and the estuary was the nearest I could find to 'wild'. And the Knott End Ferry never bloody worked ever.

It’s not a personal disagreement, it’s just that walking in the dales is the antidote to all of my stresses, and if done sensibly one that I thrive on and intend to continue with now legal.
If I came on here and said otherwise I would be lying, and what’s the point of that. Social media has enough liars distorting reality.
I still love you whatever our difference of opinion 😘

I know people in Cleveleys totally pissed off with the amount of people coming in and taking 'their' space as they see it, especially when they have no respect for social distancing.
Ha! As a Cleveleys resident and someone who's run or cycled along the prom probably about once a week for the past few years, it is slightly surprising when "newbies" look at you like you shouldn't be there if you're just a little bit faster/more purposeful than they want to be. Did they think nobody ever went on the prom before covid?? 🤣
No hard feelings from me though...they are entitled to be there, following the rules.
In the same way, I will wait for the dust to settle but if the rules allow me to go fell running/hiking in the Lakes now, I will go when I next have the opportunity.

But it isn't their space is it. And if people aren't social distancing, it goes back to what I said previously about doing our bit and showing responsibility. But I suppose if people are ignoring social distancing, despite being told countless times, it'll still be the government's fault.

No. Some people just don't get it, and you can't legislate for that.

The 'plenty of people' is till a very very small minority and the chance of infection therefore is minimal. Not excusing it, just a bit of relaity on why its not effecting the infection rate..

It may have gone down quicker if we had all been in complete lockdown but im glad we didnt.

I think we've all seen plenty of examples of people ignoring social distancing Wiz. I'm just surprised that the infection and death rates are going down.
I think people who have ignored government advice to self isolate and social distance have to take some of the blame for the C19 deaths
