Agree Willie, what the hell is going on in Blackburn with Darwen with it being so high?Think we all know what or who effects that pattern trend.

If things stay as they are a lot of people are going to be pissed off come the next Government review date, and hand on heart can anyone blame them?
very true Jaffa
Go on. Say it!!Think we all know what or who effects that pattern trend.

Table says it for me.Go on. Say it!!
I'm sure it does.Table says it for me.

Lock the towns down no way the rest of the country should suffer.
Agree with that analysis. The ground work is being laid already with comments over the last couple of days.
The picture is starting to look bad across the country, albeit starting from a much lower base:
I think at a minimum a couple of weeks delay is going to be called until the situation stabilises.
- Essex + 79.1%;
- West Sussex + 131.9%;
- Oxfordshire + 125.9%;
- North Yorks + 91.7%.
4 weeks won't make a blind bit of difference. It'll be a worse picture cases wise, the real data is in the hospitalisation patterns and death rates.
If most are having the vaccine why are the figures escalating again?
But as others have pointed out hospitalisations and deaths are down. Maybe the virus is just something we will have to live with.It cant just be me who is sick to my back teeth with all this now - ok i know football isnt the be all and end all but personally feel it this way. Missed out on seeing the Seasiders at Wembley and also had my confirmed England v Scotland ticket cancelled due to covid restrictions. I just hope we can start the season with full capacity, i have my doubts.

No everyone I know is sick of it!!! I’d hazard a guess that the country has fewer ill people cold flu whatever than any time in the last 50 yearsIt cant just be me who is sick to my back teeth with all this now - ok i know football isnt the be all and end all but personally feel it this way. Imagine if we use to test the flu like this? Everyone would have shat their pants in the winter with the “positive test” numbers in the Country.
so in theory now the u30's' are starting to have jab, my lad has had his first one) and he's 26, the cases should come lower and lower...in theory.The difference is the confidence we have that the link between cases and deaths is broken. it might be unwise to test that with 100,000 new cases per day.
Look at the cases heat map for England: https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/cases?areaType=nation&areaName=England
Most of the cases are concentrated in the under 30's and declines steadily as you go up the age range.
Unfortunately we seem to be one of the only countries that is like this - I think it was the President of Portugal who accused the British of being obsessed with case numbers a couple of weeks ago.Imagine if we use to test the flu like this? A positive test is not an ill/sick person, all that’s happened is they have tested positive and in many cases they actually have no symptoms or anything wrong with them... Jon Rahm at the weekend a classic “case”. We are 15 months into this and still people think a case is a barometer for restrictions! It should only be hospitalisations and deaths.
What’s annoying the life out of me is about 5 weeks ago the cases were below 2,000 but there was no banging the drum from the media or many on here to get stuff open immediately- remember “data not dates”. However, as soon as cases rise then it’s we need to extend restrictions, local lockdowns, it’s only going one way!
If we are managing this by cases this nonsense never ends! I’m sick of this shite and the thought of limited numbers at Football or behind closed doors again is absolute bollocks... especially when the vulnerable are double jabbed and 80% of the Country have antibodies!
Spot on.Unfortunately we seem to be one of the only countries that is like this - I think it was the President of Portugal who accused the British of being obsessed with case numbers a couple of weeks ago.
The scientists advising the government seem to be loving the power they have, knowing restrictions don't impact their income in any way. They're also loving the air time and exposure this is giving them as shown by the endless tv interviews they seem to be undertaking.
Add into this the media who are loving every minute of it - they've never had so many clicks and interactions. It's in their best interests for Covid chaos to carry on.
Susan Michie is a senior member of the Communist Party and has been her whole life. She is a political extremist who happens to be a scientist. I always find it weird that we tolerate political excesses from the Left but not the Right. It would be hard to imagine a council member of the BNP being admitted to SAGE.Spot on.
Senior government scientist Susan Michie thinks masks and social distancing should remain forever... these people are deranged and dangerous.
Just before someone asks me my scientific qualifications I’ve got none, but she is a “behavioural scientist” and Kate and Gerry McCann are qualified doctors and I wouldn’t let them look after my kids.
It is all pure theatre and we need someone with some bollocks in the Government to stand up and say we’ve vaccinated the vulnerable, everyday life has risk so let’s crack on.
My question is though, it looks like they don’t want to do that. Painful.
People with dark skin, isn't brexit sending them home?Think we all know what or who effects that pattern trend.
Cases are rising in the u30s because they haven't been vaccinated and dropping sharply in older age groups who have had 2 jabs. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, anti vaxxers.The difference is the confidence we have that the link between cases and deaths is broken. it might be unwise to test that with 100,000 new cases per day.

Some mileage in that comment.You never know,people travelling to Kent or similar in England maybe bringing it back here and they call people travelling abroad
I doubt there is a BNP member bright enough to be part of SAGE.Susan Michie is a senior member of the Communist Party and has been her whole life. Unfortunately the number of hospital cases has also been rising again over the last couple of weeks. It is that plus any material increase in the number of deaths that will cause the Goverment to delay further relaxation of restrictions. Difficult to determine what the 'material' trigger points shoulfd be. They shouldn't have allowed people to jet off abroad and there should be a much, much stricter control of thr borders. It is clear that many of the the more contagious variants have been imported from abroad.So what is the way out of this then? If we start shi**ing the bed every time cases rise when we try to open up the economy, then there is never going to be any route back to normality surely?
Yep, the airline lobby is clearly more powerful than the nightclub lobby. That's politics though.Unfortunately the number of hospital cases has also been rising again over the last couple of weeks. Agree. I don't know why people don't get married with the 30 (?) people allowed and then have a proper celebration party when all restrictions are lifted.Yep, the airline lobby is clearly more powerful than the nightclub lobby. That's politics though.
Seven deaths today with a positive test, if that doesn't go up much it's time to open up completely, the country can't take much more and the NHS waiting lists are going to kill more people than the virus ever will.
I do wish people would stop banging on about their holiday refunds or delayed weddings mind, it's tough shit really.

Yes, people seem to have forgotten that there’s actually other illnesses in the world killing far more people than the virus. The longer this madness goes on the more people will die from other things.Lytham
"the NHS waiting lists ARE GOING TO kill more people than the virus ever will"
I am not an expert on the NHS but I'm surprised you say ARE GOING TO here ?
Surely that's been the case for a long while already ?
Covid fatalities have been very low - relatively and I don't want anybody to die - for a fair while now and I'd be amazed if there haven't been more deaths caused by the issues around treatment during the restrictions than from the virus itself ?
Regardless of your choice of words, I am absolutely dreading the harm that is being done by continued restrictions - by that I don't mean lockdown, I mean all the associated issues of the way we people behave during the virus, such as people not going for check ups or not attending operations and delays etc etc.
I am not blaming anybody, I am just praying that things don't turn out too bad.
Let’s hope we play them away next April and hopefully they would have sorted their shit out by then but who knows!Put a ring of steel around affected areas, only go in or out of those if you have a positive test and of course no crowds allowed at Blackburn
Spot on, as is the point made about people dying that are on waiting lists.Yep, the airline lobby is clearly more powerful than the nightclub lobby. That's politics though.

Itching to get things open?! Just wait another 4 or 5 weeks. If that’s itching then F me.Spot on, as is the point made about people dying that are on waiting lists.
In my opinion they will extend the date by a month, so it will be the 21st July, they will try and get everyone vaccinated at least once in that extra time and will really push the second vaccines. The numbers will increase of cases but I expect numbers of people in hospital and deaths will remain low and that they will then unlock completely by the 21st July. Just in time for the school holidays, I also expect us all to start getting boosters by September to really nail it down. Boris knows we can't go on like this so he will be itching to get everything opened up again, I just think we'll have to wait another 4 or 5 weeks.
I wish somebody wou;ld create a nice little private home for you, Shandy...............and throw the key away.People with dark skin, isn't brexit sending them home?
