Other Clubs manage what?
As I've said time and time again.. "Cheap" is basically your only offering on this subject and as I've also said time and time again... "Cheap" is the last resort of a failed strategy IMHO.
Firstly, any kind of change or additional cost is likely to meet some kind of resistance. However, a few moaning old fuckers on AVFTT isn't the barometer to determine whether or not the decision to adopt a particular policy was right or wrong... Simon and his team will have an objective in mind and whether or not they meet that objective is the measure of success / failure.
The trouble with Football Fans is that they become obsessive about certain things and they struggle to take an objective view of the Club as a whole and over the longer term. There's rarely any consistency in the way that fans think either... On the one hand they want one thing, but on the other hand they want another and most of the time, they'll flip flop around depending on whichever way the wind is blowing in any case. You only have to read this thread itself and the ramblings of many of the 'Armchair Owners' to realise that most are utterly clueless...
To hit a price point that resonates with fans. If any club needed to fill the stadium it's us.
It's a pretty obvious move, we dropped by 20 but then hit those who wanted a card with a ridiculous charge, making it no less in a division lower. A PR own goal.
The 30 quid was way too high last season and 26 isn't that good for a club like us in the area it's in. I think Barnsley were 23/24 quid this season.
I've gone digital. Didn't really want to but can manage. There's many more who aren't too happy with this.
It's all just obvious stuff not to do when fans need winning back after a poor season.
As for my only offering no, price isn't it, you've admitted yourself the club isn't the best at generating a feelgood factor, proce is a factor but there far more, communication with fans isn't the best, the PR, thinking outside the box with ST offerings not just price, there were tons of good ideas on here and creative things to do, we did nothing.
Other Clubs manage a better payment plan yet we somehow can't do it. Why?
Why did the club even announce this figure, all it's brought is ridicule from those who see it and compare it to theirs, wven if its at a completely different stage in sales, it's brought negativity, poor again.
