McCarthy

It’s been an epic clusterfuck season really. I just hope it does us good in the middle term - we recover, get back up to the Championship and know what it takes to stay in it and more.

Like in business when you lose a large account and realise you took everything for granted and will not make that mistake a second time

Lacking quality, lacking composure, all I see is a number of "not good enough for the Championship" players managed by a past his sell by date manager who will rightfully end up getting relegated and the manager once more put out to pasture.

Some simply awful decisions made at board level and when the stewards enquiry comes at the end of the season heads should roll.

Should never have gone for McCarthy

He came in with 19 games left and we are now in a worse position

What was the club thinking going for a manager like McCarthy, absolutely no planning or home work done on this appointment

** awful appointment

Pointless sacking MM, the players aren’t up for this and most just aren’t good enough to keep us up. No signs at all of us staying up and frankly we deserve to drop. Let’s get it over with, everyone at the club learn the lessons and prep for League 1.

Yeah a 1000 plus games of playing long ball, hoof

I certainly didn't call for McCarthy
All it needed was an attacking mindset and to play for some ** wins not draws. I’d back Dobbie and Thommo between them to deliver that over what we’ve seen. At least the board won’t be tempted to stick with Mick and can do proper homework on a new man for league one

Once again he thinks CJ is the answer who clearly proved once again he is not a footballer.

Any manager that picks him in his squad in this league has to go.

Anyone giving grief to those skilful footy players for driving off last week after not being selected with CJ selected need to adjust the people they are having a go at.

At 62 years old I would walk away if CJ was in front of me in the team.

FUCK OFF 🦖 AND TERRY DACTYL 🦖⚽

McCarthy has never been a fan of small players or attacking football

He's probably one of the worse managers we have ever had and he did absolutely no homework on the players or club

1 win in how many since Cardiff sacked 🦖😵😵😵

Set us up again not to score goals and to just hang on ......

Football from the 1980s with 6 defenders in the starting line up

Fcuk off now, and take TC with you

We couldn't score in a brothel...
Couldn't agree more Phil and I've just covered the other elephant in the room.

The problem I have with him is that he's not giving us a chance

We aren't having a go, it's all safety first nonsense

It is very bloody depressing. Saw the line up and you knew the game was written. McCarthy was a frying pan to fire appointment. Sadler is saying he's putting 90m into the club - you'd want more than this wouldn't you? He needs better advice on how to run the football side I think. I'm not anti Sadler, we are fortunate to have a committed owner putting money in, but the decision making is looking very poor. There's no way the squad of platers we have had this season should have ended up this aimless and abject. Lots of things have been put right at the club over the last 4 years and we should appreciate that and I do, but the most important thing, the football, is in disarray really. And the same people who have made very poor decisions thus far will make the future decisions. I see Sadler has said there was no plan in place for Critchley leaving, it took them by surprise. Blimey. Experienced business people. Really? Everyone knows that football players and coaches come and go with the wind.

I don’t actually agree. Whilst we need a good clear out, I think a few of our players could cut it in the championship under a better manager.

MM coming in has caused a visible change in the dressing room. We’ve gone from bad to worse and it’s no coincidence.

McCarthy out. Past it.
That's why I said 80%.

Get rid now.

New Manager in.

Please no fucker who has played for us before. It's an imbecilic approach.

It's all about next season now.
There was reasons behind the Dobbie call, we needed to hit the ground running. In the circumstances it might jave worked, surely better than what we've seen.

He played the same style, had some knowledge of the players etc.

However a positive new man would potentially worked, someone who plays football.

We went for Mick....with his known style.

I didn't see one question at the special meeting about why McCarthy was selected or how it was deemed he'd fit the players etc.

Absolute bollocks.

No disrespect to Dobbie, but he has done NOTHING to suggest he might work at that level. It would be a gamble, like every other decision we have been making of late.

Yep that's a shocking revelation.

Critchley at that time was doing incredibly well with us on a small budget, it was obvious his stock was high and he might be sought after at some point.

But even in complete surprise, the appointments were shocking.

We had plenty of time to get someone decent in.

It's not bollocks, we've seen 1st hand how a new manager coming in can take time, time we didn't have.

I'd have been happy with any forward thinking coach or manager tbh.

There was still time to get out of it but again learning the players still can take time for a new manager.

And his mate Mansford was peddling the exact opposite story all through non turbulent times. We had a list that was constantly looked at was the quote when asked what pamphlet guy was actually bringing to the club.

Dobbie and Thommo in now. Restore some semblance of positivity and attacking football and see if we can escape from footballing Alcatraz
