New What we all watching / recommendations thread?

The Rig was OK, the ending a little silly.

I started 'The Last Or Us' last night, hopefully it lives up to the reviews, it's just weird seeing a Mandalorian without his helmet on. 😁

I’m up to episode 5 of season 4 of Yellowstone and still don’t know why some characters are in it. There’s people killed in huge numbers every episode and no one gets arrested, there’s lots of meaningless, boring conversations to pad out time, yet I’m strangely still watching.

Your Missus has g
We’ve just finished Without Sin on ITVX which we enjoyed. A very interesting story and not the ending you would have ever guessed.

Has anyone else watched that Glass Onion thing on Netflix, sorry if it has been mentioned I really enjoyed it but my Mrs thought it was absolutely shite.
good taste :)

Mr Inbetween - Aussie hitman, 20 minute episodes dark and funny..liked it!

But the best has been imo.
Severance
White Lotus
Bad Sisters
Slow Horses
Dopesick

Going to dive into Kaleidoscope next

so far...

A new series started yesterday, the demise of Blackpool football club. League one will be ever so exciting. Could be a few years before we return to championship football. The board have made major mistakes.

Watched The Rig. I quite enjoyed it. The Last of Us was pretty good too. As someone whos played through the game a few times I'm looking forward to how it transitions over as a series. A solid start

@avftt_admin

I thought this thread had been made a sticky

From AVFTT - So much was going on that we unstickied it to make the board easier to follow. We’ll sticky again after the weekend when things settle down.

The English Game on Netflix is a great series. It’s about when Football was in its infancy in the 1860 s.
It shows the division between the North and the South Football teams. The programme features Blackburn and Darwen teams from the north but Burnley and our own Pool get a brief mention. It’s a true story and I’m sure all footie fans will enjoy it.

Watching Alice in Borderland on Netflix.

If you liked Squid Games then this is very similar (was actually made before Squid Games).

Just watched all series 3 of Fauda , Israeli special forces v Palestinian terrorists. Very realistic and violent but compelling.
Series 4 is out now.......
I just love Doron......He's like the Israeli Bruce Willis in (non) acting terms....I don't see Fauda going down well in Palestine.........but it's very good.

Just watching:
Godfather of Harlem: Series 3.....
Your Honour: Series 2 (The aftermath of the hotel hit and everything going weird)
Wolf Pack: with Buffy The Vampire (werewolf) slayer.....only 1 episode in and it's OK(ish)

Physical: 100 on Netflix - I'm sure that format will travel but the Koreans are an interesting bunch and this being the first one has the element of surprise.

All Quiet On The Western Front - Netflix. Well made and authentic but depressing.

Cinema - can recommend Megan 👍

I tend to not get into series and stick to watching my regular stuff on You Tube and some random things but I seem to be struggling to find stuff on You Tube these days and every fecker is telling me to watch Happy Valley and Traitors so I'm going to try them when I get round to it.

They'd better be good starters because I don't like slow burners or perhaps I should say I'm impatient ?

Happy Valley start at series one, absolutely not a slow burner !

yep, thanks for the recommendation. Quickly got thru seven episodes. Very good.

@avftt_admin

Over two weeks now since you said you'd make this a sticky again!

Started ‘A spy among friends’ on ITV last night. I’ve never seen anything jump around different scenes and timelines before. It’s literally every few seconds nearly all the way through the first episode.
Will stick with it, and quite enjoyed it so far, but not one to watch after a few bevies.

Physical 100, it's pretty nuts and had to fast forward a lot of it as its cringe as but some of the physical challenges they go through are pretty cool, oh and it's Korean!
