New What we all watching / recommendations thread?

Putin vs The West. Episode 2/3 tonight and all about how Putin has played the West like a fiddle over many years and we fell for it 🤦‍♂️

Episode 3 of The Last of Us was one of the best things I have watched on TV in some time......

It's supposed to be a series about mushroom zombies.....so why am I crying
Nick Offerman will win an Emmy for his role in this episode...
I thought the first 2 episodes were decent but not as good as all the hype would suggest. Episode 3 - just wow, complete sidetrack but great acting and superb story.

First episode of Picard S3 just landed on Prime.

First 2 seasons were mediocre to poor, this one looks promising.

Worth a watch for those that like this stuff.

Rebellion (Netflix) - 10 episodes over 2 series (2019).
It’s the story of the Easter Uprising, well worth a watch if your interested in that event.

Third series of Jerk on BBC2.

Outrageously dark comedy on societal attitudes towards disability, while still being self-deprecating (the co-writer and lead is Tim Renkow, who has cerebral palsy).

Cracking guest spots from James Norton and Lorraine Bracco (the psychiatrist in The Sopranos).

Been watching Trapped on Amazon Prime. Icelandic crime drama. Not the most exciting but it draws you in
and I've thoroughly enjoyed it. If you like crime dramas it's worth a watch.

Series 6 of Snowfall is about half way through, it's sort of lost it's way a bit but British actor Damson Idris is still brilliant in it.
Season 2 of Perry Mason just dropped and (like season 1) is growing into a really well done crime noir.
The Glory on Netflix is a decent 'revenge' series and part of the growing list of excellent Korean TV series, coming for 2023
Boston Strangler started today on Hulu and can be found on the decent 'dodgy' websites.....It looks very good

Guy Ritchie's, Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre is a 6/10....fairly daft but worth watching it, just for Hugh Grant's role as a dodgy arms dealer.
Imagine his character from The Gentleman with money.....
Proof that Grant can only play upper class twits or borderline Pedo's from a Government information advert....

Been watching Daisy Jones and the six on Amazon, really good so far, loosely based on Fleetwood Mac, they have really captured the feel of the late 60's early 70's and it just really watchable.

Also watching Mayor of Kingstown, really like this but can only watch one and then need to leave it for a day tor two as it's very bleak.
