100 not years AP gets replies.
I suspect they have been in communication with the club regarding ownership status going forward and assurances that Andy Pilley will have no future influence on the running of the club. How Fleetwood Town are going to be able to do this is the big question mark.I wonder what the EFL are doing about the club.
Neither the Club nor the EFL can be certain about this until the judgment. If POCA is invoked - and I haven't read back through this thread - then it could rule out some people who might otherwise have a say in the outcome.I suspect they have been in communication with the club regarding ownership status going forward and assurances that Andy Pilley will have no future influence on the running of the club. No chance Lytham. I’m so confident I’ll have you a small wager.Five years.
More, 4 separate charges of serious fraud! Pleaded not guilty and has previous convictions of fraud.Five years.
Ripping off disabled charities in itself deserves a longer sentence for Pilley and all the businesses that were forced to close down because of his rip off ways
Similar to Pilley, nice house, bentleys and no doubt rolexs and the like, looks like the max sentence. Will his sister get the same deal I wonder.
Think I initially said 3 years six months but didn’t realise he had 4 charges all of which he was found guilty so I’m going 7 years 9months12yrs out after 5 if hes a good boy
Do you really think they aren't?So once he is sentenced will the EFL get involved?
Whoknows with the EFL. Have they said anything officially?Do you really think they aren't?
Aah I see.Whoknows with the EFL. Have they said anything officially?
I just wondered if there's something they're waiting for or what is likely to happen?
Where is the money Fleetwood have coming from? Their club will generate a very small amount.
I'm just intrigued how this one will play out.
Thanks.Aah I see.
I think the case breaks new ground in some ways. This is the first time I can remember an owner going to prison while still in control (there must have been others, but I can't remember one - maybe Maxwell?).
AP will fail the new owner / Director Test. The EFL almost certainly won't accept a simple transfer to a family member, unless it is to oversee a sale to an unrelated third party. So we may be looking at a forced sale, perhaps through a Receiver. But who can make that happen? Perhaps a Court Order is needed.
The money (or lack of it) is a separate issue, really. They are a club with huge debts, almost all of which is owed to AP. But his assets may in turn be subject to a Proceeds of Crime action. Is the club one of the poisonous fruits of that tree? We don't know.
I think it can be unravelled if the Pilley family play ball. If they choose not to, then it could be a bit of a mess. Either way, I think the EPL probably started taking legal advice the minute they knew he was going to trial.
Including some on here.Alot of fleetwood fans definately thinking it’s business as usual and nothings going to change

How they can think that though IDK. They have lost thier owner and a simple transfer surely won't work. He was the only reason they were punching way above their weight.Including some on here.

I’ve already bagsied 8 years sorry8 years
You may well be right, and I hope you are.AP resigned as a director of FTFC and Poolfoot training ground the day after he was found guilty in court, his kids were then made directors, but they too had to resign. I dont know but maybe the EFL had something to do with his resignations ???
Yet people criticise our club for a lack of information. You may well be right, and I hope you are.
Going back to the point from earlier on , there are two things that stand out for me :
1) nobody at the club seems to have made a genuine attempt to spell out publicly to supporters what the implications of his conviction are ; and
2) said supporters don't seem to be all that interested in knowing or trying to find out what is likely to happen
It's either tomorrow or Tuesday I'm not sure which. Someone else will know. When is the sentencing?
A lot of small businesses it claimed went out of business because of pilleys extortionate charges on BES accountsI'm going 7 years for fraud, another 3 years for misrepresentation and another 3 years for fraudulent control of money...13 years in total
I'm guessing those companies shafted by Pilley have grounds to pursue BES in court for loss, over charging, fraud? etc etc. and this leaves BES open to thousands of claims from business owners.
With no income, a POC an obvious threat...... if Pilley has any assets available......Like a football club that owe him £16M?
There are thousands who will be looking at Pilley reclaiming this debt by selling Fleetwood Town & Pool foot.
Regarding assets, that house by the River Wyre must be worth 5 million plus!I'm going 7 years for fraud, another 3 years for misrepresentation and another 3 years for fraudulent control of money...13 years in total

All 4 of them being sentenced today and maybe half of tomorrowWill there be fireworks on the 4th of July?
I think BFCx3 would be a good one to give factual info on this....BUT...many companies in the same energy industry had their own employees/departments who would try to get people out of their BES contract....Many had to close their existing business down and re-open as a new name, just to close these contracts.A lot of small businesses it claimed went out of business because of pilleys extortionate charges on BES accounts
AP had to stand down as he become subject to a disqualifying condition under the ODT - see attached https://www.efl.com/-more/governanc...lations/appendix-3-owners-and-directors-test/AP resigned as a director of FTFC and Poolfoot training ground the day after he was found guilty in court, his kids were then made directors, but they too had to resign. To be honest I don’t agree with much of the gloating that is going on - I have no time for Fleetwood as a club but lots of ordinary peoples livelihoods will be affected through no fault of their ownAP had to stand down as he become subject to a disqualifying condition under the ODT - see attached https://www.efl.com/-more/governanc...lations/appendix-3-owners-and-directors-test/
Will be interesting to see how the EFL play this. Takes me back to the days we had to tell them what their own rules said after Shaun Harvey tried to convince us Owen wasn't caught by the rules when he clearly was. Amateur Hour watching the ' No Retrospective Application Powerpoint '
Not sure where all this is going to end up Not good for F/wood Town or the community
What about the livelihoods of people who were victims of fraud? To be honest I don’t agree with much of the gloating that is going on - I have no time for Fleetwood as a club but lots of ordinary peoples livelihoods will be affected through no fault of their own
They are victims too but I don’t think it’s the people who worked for Pilley who are responsibleWhat about the livelihoods of people who were victims of fraud?
I think it was an open secret for most of them. Equally as guilty as far as I can see, they were part of it.They are victims too but I don’t think it’s the people who worked for Pilley who are responsible

Yep they knew they weren’t energy brokers but they were actual employees of BES apparently just telling customers BES was the best deal which in effect lost other energy companies customersI think it was an open secret for most of them. Equally as guilty as far as I can see, they were part of it.
