PNE Fans write open letter to the club 😂😂😂

My father in law is a Nobber and he has told me Hemmings has kept the doors open for years. I do a bit of work down there every now and again and the fans aren't happy with the manager and the football they play. There's definitely "Trouble at mill "

And there lies the problem for me Doc, they’re mixing everything up when their biggest problem is with the manager and the quality (or lack of) with the football being played. A nobber mate if mine says exactly the same thing and it’s no coincidence that Argyle are marching to the championship with Lowes successor in charge who was his number 2 when he was there.

I pronounce you "Winner of the internet" today for that comment. 😂
And my prize is . . . . .

. . . . the collected writings of Nobberville - the difficult to read version, as many as 6 words per page with some more than two syllables, includes a copy of the PNE fans letter in its original crayon - - - - - and a picture based explanation of what a syllable is for Nobbers with ambition

I can’t wait to see the reply from Mr Hemmings and the fantastic Mr Ridsdale
I’m hoping it’s one the so called fans will be vastly irritated by.I’m sure it will be a fun read
Something like
New roof means less playing budget
Less playing budget so we can pay the tax man
No more handouts from the deceased Mr Trevor Hemmings so need to lower you’re expectations as fans
No more funds to replace stolen flags
Season tickets will be increasing to £400 from the start of next season
Only under 5s will be free of charge and 5-11 year olds £120
New turnstiles will be put in place for under 5s from next season so we haven’t got adult fans sneaking in on a free ticket
No more free tickets for the under privileged( all funds need to be raised by fans for these events)
The invincible pavilion won’t be completed until such times we reach the premier league( which will be never)
Please remember to bring you’re umbrellas if you sit in the town end until I get this cesspit sold

To Paraphrase the letter from PNE Fans

We would be better if the owners spent more money on wages so they could buy better quality players.
We would be better if the owners spent more money on a new training ground and paid for better facilities
We would be better if the owners spent more money on the academy and attracted more youth players
We would be better if the owners spent more money on improving the stadium....even though we don't own it!!
We would be better if the owners spent more money on half time butter pies and a decent outdoor catering company
We would be better if the owners spent more money.......full stop
We would be better if the owners sold the club and forgot about the £70m debt, to someone who would spend even more money.

PNE FANS Online....
F##K O## Hemmings.....Get out of "our" club
We are going and were not coming back ......
But we may stay, if you keep spending more than that £12million you put in every year.
And by the way....Don't you dare put the price of a under 11's season ticket up.....were not all made of money.....

And don't think this is me being nasty to PNE fans.....This is more or less what was written on PneisOnline on the 'Hemmings Out' Thread
Where ,PNEJoan (who's been a fan since 1889) said she was boycotting Deepdale until the Hemmings family stumped up more money
One fan said he would never be tricked into buying a £200 season ticket.....unless Hemmings increased the amount of money he was spending.........

Personally, I think were watching the death of PNE....in 2 seasons, I actually see them as a mid table, League 1 outfit with crowds of 8,000
Sad....but you don't know what you have until it's gone....Just glad they love their club so much

They mention "bridging the financial gap" a couple of times. Here's an idea...
Instead of letting the cockroaches sneak in as an under 11, why not pay your £20 or £30 whatever it is and support your club.
100 people paying say £25 = £2,500....that would buy a decent size tarpaulin and some gaffer tape and that's the roofing problem sorted in the space of one home game!

In a few years there'll be enough saved up for a decent National League level right back.

You can thank me later nobbers.

I confess that I haven't read the letter in full, as I much prefer avftt's contributers' version(s).
Unfortunately, that means that I haven't been able to check if cha' has been able to use the correct coloured crayons, and more importantly, has he managed to keep the 'colouring in' within the lines.....!🤔

Personally I don't think that the Hemmings' are really interested in football.
The original owner (Hemmings), now dead, bought the club but didn't seem to want much out of it.
His real interest was horse racing, hence his Grand National winnings.
It would not surprise me if went up for sale soon.
The Sunday Times Rich List in 2021 had Hemmings at £1.115 Billion.

Can I just say to PNE fans reading this..........Why not give us 5,500 tickets to the home game in April....That's another £120,000 in profit for 1 game
You could get the roof fixed, buy another 100 new flags or get free butter pies for all fans for the next few games.......
You could even buy everyone a daft bowler hat for genitals day....wouldn't that make you all happy?

Kind of makes sense when you're struggling to pay wages etc to add another 3,000 fans to the seats that would be empty at Deepdale?
Who knows.....maybe it will bring a few more PNE fans to the game when they know it's going to be packed out?

Or is the Riddler just scared your going to lose?

Ambitions of being in the premiership,🤣🤣🤣 more chance of being in the premier Inn when they demolish dumpdale thats outdated and falling to bits. It truly has become an eye sore on the Lancashire skyline..

Its not so much a letter, as a haphazard pictorial representation of a Nobbers' core desires daubed in multi coloured crayon on the cave like walls of Nobberville. It will give the various historians and anthropologists in ten thousand years time a real issue as they try to correlate an advanced technological society living around a seemingly isolated pre-magnon community.

Because we would have to turn pne fans away , not going to happen

You know like you wouldn’t turn your 800 away in the east to give us an extra block or two , would you ?

A serious question for you. but unless I am missing something didn't PNE keep hold of their best striker they've had for years. Sign a PL standard GK (Not my opinion but others), sign an extremely good player in Brady and some youth in Woodburn. You're 3 points off of the play offs, we've just come out of COVID so a lot of clubs at our level aren't spending. Shave off some shite from the squad in Sinclair.

What actually is it that you're upset about?

I’m usually pretty realistic when it comes to what I expect of the club

We’re a top end lg 1 lower end champ club and have continuously punched above our weight for many years

The fact we won last min Saturday and sit three points off six is a little misleading tbf

We were poor on Saturday and very fortunate to Knick it late on

The manager has a formation and style of football and was told he could get the players in he needed , suddenly in the summer the funds disappeared

No one’s expecting tens of millions spent ,but there’s been a real disconnect between fans and owners recently, and quite rightly many are worried how things look long term

I don’t see how the meeting up of both sides can’t be a positive whatever the outcome, highly unlikely much will change but we’re just asking for some transparency rather than the usual condescending put up or shut up from Ridsdale .

Thanks for the reply ODT, it's interesting because although I don't like your stadium it's still an ok set up.

It's probably the problem for you that you've had years and years of the same old same old with a quick trip to League One and a PO win being the highlight of the last 20 odd years.

PNE probably need substantial investment to get them to the point of getting to the Premier League or a decent set of kids coming through academy wise.

Always felt like their managerial choices have always been very weird. I don't rate Lowe too much, never seems to be too much thought put into it.

Has anyone asked which World Cup Craig and Peter are talking about???
My prediction 2030, I can't imagine either of them have much appetite for meeting up with 22 utter deadlegs (imagine the stench), all repeatedly chanting the same thing over and over...spend more money, spend more money.

Wouldn't you love to be in the room when those 22 representatives turn up.....

The Butter Pie Podcast....The Nose Bag Fanzine.....Mooching 1880 & Deepdale Digest arrive......and it's just Norfolk White and a guy called Barry

Mooching 1880 just sounds like a group of OAP's into dogging!!!

The problem with Preston fans is simple it's the fact that Blackpool got into the Premier league. It eats away at them like a cancer and they cannot get over the fact that they have never been there.
...and never will 👍🏻

Many clubs who’ve been in the prem are currently below us , honestly it’s not something I crave at all for what would likely be a season of getting pasted every week.

Never quite finished the invincible stand , apparently don’t have to pay rates on it or something till it’s completed, hence why it’s been left as is.

You have a good point about it being like Groundhog Day , perhaps if we were fighting relegation and staying up last game rather than 12th every year it would be more exciting?

Even an odd relegation doesn’t always do you harm .

That’s how my nobber mate sees things too ODT, but do you agree with the open letter content and the points raised therein? Like most teams in the Championship survival in the league is the most important season target and getting further is a real bonus, but as a Dingle mate of mine tells me ‘it’s tough getting tonked every week but the financial rewards are there'.

What a load of rubbish...if that was true, every football stadium in the UK would have a section that was unfinished and would save them millions
Rates for football stadiums are based on the size or capacity, the quality of the stadium, attendances and yearly income.
If it was because it was unfinished, we would never have paid any rates for 10 years with the Gene Kelly stand......

And considering the Council own Deepdale stadium...I doubt they would let that income slide
But you should get a discount on your rates once you enter administration in 2024/2025

The thing is… and this seems to be the elephant in the room that no nobber wants to acknowledge… but your owners ARE and have been spending tens of millions just to achieve Championship mediocrity.

This open letter is calling for further investment in the ground, first team playing staff, academy, and training ground. There’s also the bizarre call to move admin staff out of club offices and into other club offices presumably. Just these requests alone are likely to cost millions, perhaps even into double figure millions. And that’s on top of the £1 million a month losses, whilst fans are calling for the manager, board and owners head and whilst fans continue to attempt the rip their own club off despite paying National League North prices for season tickets. And finally that’s all on top of the fact the owners ARE open to selling the club and want to recoup the £60 million the family have flushed away over the past few decades.

How the intentions of the board, reality and the deluded wish list of the fans is supposed to marry up is frankly impossible.

This proposed meeting between the groups behind the letter and the club is clearly just an attempt to appease in the short term, kick the can down the road and hope a few decent results and a World Cup can help fans forget what’s going on.
