Football isn't a level playing field and never has been, i think we need to lose this attitude of us always punching above our weight as its nonsense

The point you are studiously ignoring is that this Division is made up of :

* half a dozen clubs getting parachute payments

* another six or eight at least who spend massively beyond their means to try to compete with the first group

* several of moderate size who overspend, but on a tight leash

* a group of smaller clubs like ours who are probably close to their economic ceiling

A couple of thousand on the gate makes a small difference, but doesn't change the paradigm, and won't ever do so unless there is reform.

The logical consequence is that clubs like Blackpool either bow to gravity, or they add extra value through high quality coaching, as we are seeking to do.

Your diatribes are quite entertaining, but you are pissing in the wind as far as Critchley is concerned. Mainly because you don't have the faintest idea of the realities of business modelling that our club faces.
 
We had nothing to play against t'rovers yet the players gave us a fine performance against play off chasing opposition.

I think the team will continue to give their all as most of them clearly love the club and the town.

A wonderful group of players who have a great attitude who will continue to do the best they can.

I will continue to attend right until the end and applaud the team for their magnificent efforts in maintaining championship status and doing us proud against some top top sides with expensive players.

Desperate in need of a creative midfield player to unlock defences and it will be interesting to see what pans out with Bowler and how we replace him if he goes

Hopefully we can sign some key starters who will improve the team

Congratulations on doing over 20 games ,I am sure your proud of yourself , although I thought supporters were there to support . Never mind if we all follow your example the players can do a lap of honour in front of the stewards . I also can't believe some have put a thumbs up for this post ,could be knobbers I suppose.

The fact is that you always start your threads on what most people perceive as a negative. You wouldn't start a thread for example saying what a great bit of scouting brought Ekpiteta to Blackpool and what an excellent job Critch has done developing into a top Championship player and the Board have done in securing him on a new contract. Now I realise that probably wouldn't prompt much debate so I always ask myself on your threads if you are more interested in an argument than expressing an opinion? It begs the question of what keeps you buying a ST year after year if your continuously dissatisfied with what you pay good money to watch?
Enjoy the end of season watching your kids. Mine have grown up now so I have to watch other peoples kids and just between you and me I really enjoy the less inhibited football played by our Academy, probably evenl a bit more than the big boys.
(Oh I forgot you're not a big fan of the quality in our Academy either).
 
I assume Phil won’t be purchasing a Season ticket next year unless we get rid of critch and bring in a super manager that plays expansive football.

Negative?

How is being disappointed with how the season has petered out be classed as negative

Surely those being fine with mediocrity and a crushing defeat by our biggest rivals are the negative ones

1 point from 9 at this stage of the season is poor

I've stated several times that the manager has had decent backing from the board and a few of his signings have turned out to be really good players for our club

You are correct though, I'm still not convinced that many of our Academy prospects will make it at this level, but thats probably for another day and another thread

16th isn't really a success infact its a bit meh considering how many points we have thrown away from winning positions

I think the Preston away game showed up the managers limitations. That was a must win game for our fans and we lost without even putting up a fight

We didn't even have a shot on target and probably lost out on more 50/50 challenges than any other match this season

As Karl once said, let's see where we are at the end of the season. 16th isn't the final position just because you're not going 😁

We could easily be in the top half after the weekend for starters.

My understanding is that as Phil has mentioned previously this season the pricing of the tickets would bring more support through the gate.

So your last sentence is off the mark and poor form to be honest.

Why do you think Sadler can’t compete with “our competitors”? You may know Sadlers/Critchley’s budget for this season. Will next season’s budget be enough to get a creative midfielder do you think?
