I bet we offered him that at the time, we gave everyone else 2 or 3 years +1.
2.5 million is a fair price for him considering the contract. He’s been brilliant over the last 3 months but he’s not the finished article. It’s hard to demand 4 or 5 million on a player who was a free agent 6 months agoI’ve just heard bournmouth have pulled out for bowler and pool want 2.5 million from forest
I just can't believe how many are hung up on this £1.5 mil that some uninformed journo put in an article.
Because no one has denied it.I just can't believe how many are hung up on this £1.5 mil that some uninformed journo put in an article.
Sorry but not every situation adds money onto CB, not sure where you're getting this shite from.Wigan after our other centre mid (Sykes) who's out of contract in summer - think he'd be more likely to be sold than CB, whose price would further increase as a result I'd imagine.
We don't wash our clothes in public is probably why.Because no one has denied it.
Desperation!Sorry but not every situation adds money onto CB, not sure where you're getting this shite from.
If we sell his midfield partner 3hrs before window shuts, it's going to take something silly to sell him too.Sorry but not every situation adds money onto CB, not sure where you're getting this shite from.
Not sure I agree on that SATW. Wouldn't suggest he does. If anything I'd suggest the club is getting a decent fee for him and are happy to swap him and get CB and a decent loan winger in.All the talk and 'body language' from the club tells you Bowler wants out. Obviously we need to max the fee, but as much as it's a shame we won't get far with players that aren't committed to the club.
They're both still League One players. You lot are over valuing a footballer that only has ONE club actively trying to get him. He's not worth over 800-1m for meIf we sell his midfield partner 3hrs before window shuts, it's going to take something silly to sell him too.
I reckon he just wanted to use us as a shop window and not commit. He will have been on better money at Everton. Quite a bit better probably. He wouldnt want to drop in wages for 2 or 3 years.Exactly pal. Maybe we thought he was a risk. Or he may of had injury doubts.
Scrafters says it's more so everyone go read that and put your minds at rest.Same. If we have Forest and Bournemouth both bidding for him we'll get more than that.
I don’t believe that or he wouldn’t have played on SaturdayAll the talk and 'body language' from the club tells you Bowler wants out. Obviously we need to max the fee, but as much as it's a shame we won't get far with players that aren't committed to the club.
Wish it was over lol3 hours to go
He didn’t take a pay cut , Everton released him at the end of his contract.Given what Everton paid for him and we are talking about a Premier League club then I would guess that Bowler is one of our top earners. He probably took a pay cut to sign for Blackpool and that's why he signed a 1+1 deal. It wouldn't surprise me if there was some clause in that contract or even a gentlemens agreement in play that would be triggered if a "bigger" club comes calling with a salary offer similar to or more than he was on at Everton. Otherwise, all these enquiries would have been dismissed out of hand as they are nowhere near his true value which is increasing with every game.
Yes and then he joined us for lower wages which he didn't fancy for a long time.He didn’t take a pay cut , Everton released him at the end of his contract.
I know, but the poster seemed to think he took a pay cut, which he didn’t. I personally, as you suggest, think we were only ever a short term for him to put himself in the shop window. If we get between 1&2 million for him after 6 months, that’s good business. Although like many others I would like him to stay, it’s never going to happen.Yes and then he joined us for lower wages which he didn't fancy for a long time.
Pointless club anyway who haven't changed since the Maxwell days.I don't think you'll find a bigger set of cunts than Oxford fans tbh.
General - Blackpool Beef
Hello. I think some of this thread at least is well over the top. The idea that our club has not changed since the Oystons is absolutely ridiculous, for example. And offensive. The donkey spice stuff is offensive. And childish. Blackpool don't have to offer the buy out clause amount. And you...yellowsforum.co.uk
Who is the better player. Sykes was against us, but Brannigan seems rated more.If we sell his midfield partner 3hrs before window shuts, it's going to take something silly to sell him too.
He didn’t join us for lower wages as he was without a clubYes and then he joined us for lower wages which he didn't fancy for a long time.
Fucks sake Wigan, Oxford are much more likely to accept this bid as Sykes will leave in the Summer on a free for nothing.
This ABSOLUTELY could hurt our chances of getting Brannagan.
Brannagan, but both will be playing in the Championship next seasonWho is the better player. Sykes was against us, but Brannigan seems rated more.
Think our policy is the Brentford model or at least re transfers, but look at what they got for their players Watkins etc, mad money! He didn’t join us for lower wages as he was without a club
Lower than fcuk all would take some doing
He hasn't got a release clause this is the club cashing in if he goes .. unfortunately thats our policy now
I've explained myself but you prefer to act dumb.He didn’t join us for lower wages as he was without a club

Totally agree, he's on more than job seekers....never a drop in wages. He didn’t join us for lower wages as he was without a club

I like expansion on the no choice comment. there is no release clause that is met with figures quoted. Didn't TTV quote 4 mill?Gazette
7.55pm: Bowler’s fee
Football Insider are reporting that Blackpool are asking for £2.5m for Josh Bowler, not the £1.5m that has been quoted elsewhere.
The Seasiders are reluctant to sell their star man but may have no choice.
Agreed, but if we had done the business earlier in the month then the fee might not have been as high, Forest have come on late now because they're desperate, which is why things are swirling now. This could all turn a bit sour if Bowler does go and our plans are scuppered. Would much prefer it if we had got our business done and dusted a bit earlier this month, but I suppose it’s the nature of the beast
Rektseasider posted 4m on here.I like expansion on the no choice comment. there is no release clause that is met with figures quoted. Didn't TTV quote 4 mill?
