Well you don’t see it on any news channel’s like you do in Gaza, Ukraine, Yemen etc etc where people are being blown up by bombs/missiles (mainly civilians) on a daily basis so I’m pretty sure it’s not like that in Venezuela is it? My apologies if it is.

We had our own troubles in Northern Ireland until recently but again it’s hardly on the same scale is it?

Meanwhile a Russian IL-76 transport aircraft has crashed killing all on board near Bolgorod in Russia.

Russia says it was carrying 65 Ukrainian POW soldiers who were heading home as part of an exchange deal.

Ukraine however says it was carrying 300 ground to air missiles for the S-300 missile system and on route to the front.

Any guesses who’s right/wrong?

The Russians' lips are moving, that's usually a clue.
 
It appears the Ukrainians have now admitted to shooting down this particular aircraft but they have dismissed it was carrying the Ukrainian soldiers.

They’ve also admitted that a prisoner exchange was due today but it didn’t happen. 🫣
 
The government is now being urged to start training a “citizen’s“ army ready for war with Russia, because the current army plus reservists, wil not be enough. Can’t see any political party putting their names to that.
 
Gen Sir Patrick Sanders, Chief of the General Staff made these remarks in a speech in which he said that the British Army was too small to fulfill its fighting commitments if forced into a war with Russia. It is a view not supported by Sunak, the MoD or the Chief of the Defence Staff. Sanders will shortly be retiring from his role as Head of the Army, having been overlooked for the post of Head of the Defence Staff. He has long been a standard bearer for increasing numbers on the Army's payroll and as things stand he could have a point. The current size of the Army is smaller than it has been for 300 years.

I’ve been reading a lengthy report on the drones the Houthi’s are using (similar to those used by the Russians in Ukraine) both made by Iran.
Cost as little as £10,000 to build as nothing more that a few sticks of TNT strapped on a small rocket pack built inside canvas and wooden frames which travel no more than 100kph for a one way flight (yes Im sounding very basic here probably a bit more technical) but the cost of the missiles that are used for taking them down cost between £1m-£2m per missile depending which missile system they use. 😮

The clamour for conscription is ramping up, following on from yesterday when General Sir Patrick Sanders said we need to train a citizens army ready for war with Russia, today we have General Sir Richard Sherriff saying that even if Russia is defeated in Ukraine, which seems unlikely, they will still have designs on other former Soviet countries which are now NATO members.

These are not hysterical doomsayers, these are people who know what they’re talking about. Very worrying.

And last night on Pierce Morgans Uncensored on Talk TV one of his previous political advisors (Steve??) said that Trump will sort the Ukraine problem out within 48 hours by stopping the US funding to Zelensky and his Oligarchs and redirect it to the massive problems they have on the Mexican border! If he gets back in which l don’t think is in doubt, he’s going to give the other NATO members one last chance to contribute 2% of their GDP as a minimum and currently there are only about 7/8 countries who achieve this. That’s probably reflected in the lack of direct action from most countries in the Red Sea and Houthi terrorists!
 
Reports that America is planning to send nuclear weapons to RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk due to the threat of war with Russia. It’s ok for the yanks, divert the attention to the British, let them be nuked.

Now I’m not suggesting for one minute the Americans have been waiting for something like this to happen but now it has it has an excuse now to carry out air raids further afield and not just on the Houthi rebels in Yemen.

Watch this space because once the General's have told old sleepy where these countries are expect a reprisal attack.

Iranian backed militia has now responded to American attacks by killing 6 SDF troops at a base in Syria. I guess we can now expect further retaliation by America and on and on. This isn’t going to end well.

I see the Yanks have this evening taken out a high ranking Iranian backed Militia leader in Baghdad by a drone strike.

Reports say he was the main man behind the recent attack on the American army post where 3 service men were killed.

Well done lads one less terrorist walking the streets and planning further attacks on the west. 🚀

Russia accuses uk of having special boat service SBS on the ground in Ukraine, which puts us in direct conflict with Russia. Uk so far has not responded. Doesn’t sound good.
