Another disappointing result at the weekend in the Scottish Cup for us Brechin fans! Never fail to let me down! Any peculiar Scottish followers on here outside the usual Celtic/Rangers?

Dundee, since I went to the derby away at Dundee United when I was 12. I was on holiday at the time in St Andrews.

Dundee had just been promoted back to Div 1 and lost 3-0 I think. Been my Scottish team ever since, and obviously delighted for them getting Charlie there and winning promotion.

Arbroath but only in the last 3 years. I must be a lucky mascot because they've been promoted in that time and now holding their own in the championship. I like as well how close their ground is to the sea.

Was on a golf trip to Carnoustie, and one morning before we played the Championship course, we nipped up to Arbroath to get some smokies from the harbour. We went past the ground and climbed over the wall and had a kick about. It was around 6.30 in the morning. Does that count for the grounds I've done 😉

As a kid I always looked for St. Mirrens' result. Don't know why now, but I still do.
Dundee United, because my Scottish brother-in-law had a brother (who I never met) played for them.
When I joined the Army for Nat. Service, my best mate was from Paisley (St. Mirren) strangely enough.

Don't really have one.
Wife's from Alloa so next time up going to watch them Barry Ferguson is currently manager.
Been a few times also to Falkirk when visiting.

No alcohol served in Scottish grounds. 😭

Always look for Brechin's results. A colleague of mine played for them, Alistair Littlejohn.

Smallest county in Scotland stayed at the Dunmar Hotel last time up. 👍
My grandfather was a ploughman on a farm bordering Alva. The family moved to Sauchie when the schemes were built in the 1950s. Most still live around the area. I can actually lay claim to having been on the Rec's with a crowd of 5,000. No mean feat for the Wasps.

Good thread this!

I suppose Motherwell (though I don't look out for their results) as it was a nice thing to think as a 6 yo, and then when Willie Pettigrew was supposed to sign for 200K circa 77.

St Johnstone, only because years ago I spent hours looking on the map for a place called St Johnstone with no luck. I went to Perth about 10 years ago and parked next to Tesco,s in Perth there was a sign St Johnstone’s. If I go to Perthshire for a week in winter now I go if they are playing at home.

Albion Rovers - Family from Coatbridge. I try to see them every time I pop up. Hammered at home by Buckie Thistle. I will always support Albion as my Scottish team. Pool connection in that Brian Reid is the gaffer.

Falkirk for no apparent reason other than when I was around 10 I decided to pick a Scottish team to support, never been to the ground though, I will do at some point, went to the Dundee friendly a while back with pool and was hoping to tie in a trip there but it didn’t work out, playing Albion tonight- I’m a bag of nerves!!
come on you Bairns

I now know why you threw the toys out of the pram over my comments about our Scottish friends.
Don't forget to pack your " clootie dumpling" when you head up North.😀

Edinburgh City (previously known as Ferranti then Meadowbank Thistle).
They currently ground share with The Spartans who play 5 mins from where I stay and watch them on a semi-regular basis. They return to a brand new Meadowbank Stadium very soon. They have a goon squad of about 12 lads who sing all game and are absolutely crazy in the best sense. Never any trouble just support the Team and have a great time.
