Well played Plymouth. Did a job on us
It doesn’t help that every game has 5mins a game extra guaranteed...soon as the clock strikes 90 we turn to jelly for far longer than is comfortable.Absolutely gutted. Yet another fuckin last minute giveaway at home.
Not having it. He misses, we lose.Scores the sitter or just runs back 5 yards we win.
3 points for a win we got 1 with the draw. 3 minus 1 is 2 points lost.
But that’s not the crux of what I was saying. All that was just on top of an anonymous performance. His rate of passenger performances to great performances is not good. It’s more annoying as he’s one of the most talented players on our books.
Firstly, he has been a real difference maker in the last few games when we have been up against decent opposition to get ourselves in to the top sixth.Kai Kai needs dropping ASAP. A spell on the bench may do him the world of good.
Exactly. Who is outperforming him in his role? Where's Lubala?Firstly, he has been a real difference maker in the last few games when we have been up against decent opposition to get ourselves in to the top sixth.
Who is he being dropped for? The team and squad is on its arse, the players being selected are the bare bones of what we currently have available for selection.
He wasn't great today but we're a League One team, you take the rough with the smooth.
This over analysing anything and everything players do is tiresome.
Yep. Some think it’s no loss if he doesn’t return but I think he could be the difference between playoffs success or playoff failure.think these five draws at home recently has shown how much we miss Madine and Ekpiteta - that strength that can ensure you can see a game out, especially Madine.
Shit, is that why, right well then. Let’s get Mansford to send an email around to all the league one clubs asking them to to go easy on him for the last few games eh.Kaikai disappears when he's treated roughly. Put someone behind/inside him to protect him and he can do his work.
TD I knew this would bait you out. But that wasn’t my objective. I just try to call the game as I see it.Oh, what a ** surprise. Lets blame Sullay. They completely focussed on shutting him out - he got clattered three times in first ten minutes, he was roaming all over trying to lose his double marking - he still scored. Since you last questioned him, he's got 2 assists and a goal...
'Where do we go with him'
Stop ** picking him out every single time we don't win. Embleton didn't touch the ball first half. Dougall was ragging it all over the place and giving it away constantly. Garbutt made mistakes and so on...
They're knackered. Sullay included.
Apologies for adopting the default aggressive tone of the message board. You are one of my favourite posters and in real life I would never, ever speak like that to you!.
But I bloody love Sullay.
Fair enough I see your argument. I just think we win the game today if he’s plays above 25%.Not having it. He misses, we lose.
I really wish people would get off our flair players backs, particularly on the day they score. If it's not Kaikai, it's Demi. The two players who won us 1 point today
Shit, is that why, right well then. Let’s get Mansford to send an email around to all the league one clubs asking them to to go easy on him for the last few games eh.
Ridiculous, the previous argument was, he was under used now he’s be put into a more favourable position he does well for a few games and then ends up costing us.
Inwant him to do well as I do with all of them, but when he has a performance like today I think it needs mentioning. I think Sully even knew today he’d fucked both the miss and the tracking back of you look at his reaction.
TD I knew this would bait you out. But that wasn’t my objective. I just try to call the game as I see it.
Others make mistakes, I know that. Thorniley Jesus that was a poor first half from him and he got rightly hooked. Yates was also pretty anonymous, with you correctly pointing out Embo spooned a few good chances.
However, I think we know where we are with Thorniley, Yates and Embo.
Sullay rightly still divides opinion. I don’t know if you saw it but I was quick to praise him in the last two games as he played key roles on the Oxford 90 minutes and the first 45 against Peterborough.
But your argument last time was he was out of position and I agreed with that whole heatedly. But for the last three games he’s been given the support and correct position to flourish. He did for the first half of those three games but has badly badly faded today and the second half against Peterborough. His goal today was incredibly lucky, I can just see him now round the back giving their keeper a brown bag full of notes for not stopping that trickle from going in. A joke to lighten the mood. .
anyway. Why I say I don’t know where we go from here is, he’s in the side to win us games like today, he has the talent and creative spark to get that third today or be switched on enough to track 5 yards back to get three points. But time and again he turns his own switch off and it’s incredibly frustrating, because the season isn’t over 2 game stretches he needs to repeat his Oxford and Peterborough first half performances over 6/7/8 games. He’s talented enough to do that and I don’t think I’m being unreasonable expecting it.
I think I’ve been fairly fair with management and players this year in praise and grievance when it’s been called for. I try not to knock people or get agitated just for the sake of it or on a whim - I fail often but I do try.
Last time wasn’t me criticising him, I wanted to argue that we shouldn’t keep him as he’s playing out of position fortunately Critch changed this and he improved. Let’s see where he is in ten games time, because right now he’s playing my for his future here.
That’s very nice of you TD, I’d like reciprocate, you are also one of my favourites on here. Now come on that blog won’t write its self. I’d argue you have a time machine in order to knock that out so quickly and professionally.
I agree he could make all the difference. He just gives us something that none of our other forwards can, and i'm not necessarily saying he should start. But it's just yet another option that we don't have right now. He would certainly be able to hold the ball up far better than any of our other players in games where we have a slender lead and it's in the final minutes. Such a shame but I'm still positive about our chances.Yep. Some think it’s no loss if he doesn’t return but I think he could be the difference between playoffs success or playoff failure.
Yeh, we win that and he probably only gets a few sentences in a few comments, fine margins, but fine margins matter in this game. It's all good. I think you were just playing the role of the proverbial cat after the injury time equaliser.
Don’t think the heavy collision with the metal fence did him any favours, it seemed to knock the stuffing out of himIn fairness to Kaikai he had taken a few knocks early on, during the second half I thought he looked tired.
Like other people have said if he plays well we play well. The squad now need to rest and recouperate.
Not going to read all of your post if you can only be insulting. Early on Kaikai took some punishment on several occasions. His contribution deteriorated after that. If we had someone to lean on the learners he might feel more confident.Shit, is that why, right well then. Let’s get Mansford to send an email around to all the league one clubs asking them to to go easy on him for the last few games eh.

Gretarsson for 45 mins but yes, I share your frustration.I love these posts that end with.......and we'll have players returning soon.
How bloody soon.?
They've been returning for weeks now and no one has made an appearance.
If he played as he can all the time, we couldn't afford himFair enough I see your argument. I just think we win the game today if he’s plays above 25%.
But I didn’t see much flair from him today. More of a faded musky smell of a spark that was lite last week.
Exactly what I thought. They let Ward and Dougall have space and sacrificed covering them to shut off the options when they had the ball. Ward made some use of it, but it was a gamble that they won't hurt them in the way Kaikai and Embleton and Demi would.I wish people could see what is actually happening on the pitch, today Plymouth came with a game plan , that plan was to stifle our attacking players , two or three players around Kaikai each time he got the ball , same with Mitchell and Yates, they also closed us down in midfield . We turned it round in the second half , and it almost worked for us. So when the opposition seem to outplay us, it doesn’t mean we are crap, it might mean that the opposition are working their plan to good effect , I say we’ll played Plymouth, and we’ll played to the pool, for almost pulling off a decent comeback. UTMP.
That little snippet of my post is a dangerous one if people take it out of context !Firstly, he has been a real difference maker in the last few games when we have been up against decent opposition to get ourselves in to the top sixth.

Virtually every player we have right now could do with a rest. We don't have that option. That little snippet of my post is a dangerous one if people take it out of context !
I would personally (given the current injury situation) drop him and have Mitchell playing on the left and Ward or Gabriel playing on the right (if Turton is able to play right back). He would quite possibly benefit from a rest and playing with fresh legs against tiring players for once and would also benefit from knowing he has competition and therefore really needs to give a 100% performance and not 45 minutes of 90 or 30 of 90 like today. He’s scored a goal today... and I think it’s safe to say he was lucky with it... but that doesn’t mean he therefore gets away with a below par performance given what he’s shown he’s very capable of.
The team can’t afford passengers even for 5 minutes in a game let alone the amount of time Sullay is regularly going missing.
He’s an incredibly talented player but he’s not doing what he’s capable of and any pro footballer who switches off in injury time and let’s his man score an equaliser deserves pelters. When the same player hasn’t had a good game (30 mins aside) it’s only fair questions are asked.
It wasn’t meant to be insulting so apologies. You’re a good poster 66 but he’s a grown man in a contact sport he’s going to get knocked about abit. If that’s the reason for his poor performance it would make me more annoyed. Not going to read all of your post if you can only be insulting. Early on Kaikai took some punishment on several occasions. Apology not needed Rekt'. I had in mind a Roy Kean sort of player who protects the slighter, more creative players. It wasn’t meant to be insulting so apologies. You’re a good poster 66 but he’s a grown man in a contact sport he’s going to get knocked about abit. If that’s the reason for his poor performance it would make me more annoyed.
If he can’t carry on because of a knock or injury he needs to come off.
Nah I was a bit snarky with my reply you were right.Apology not needed Rekt'. I had in mind a Roy Kean sort of player who protects the slighter, more creative players.
I'm not even sure home or away even makes that much difference at the moment. Certainly doesn't seem to for us.What difference does it make whether it's Saturday or Tuesday?
A goal up in the last few minutes, he's not going to bring a striker on.The last few minutes were crying out for Simms to come on
They did in the end.Did they?
Disagree, you defend from the front, Yates looked leggy and Robson isn't Embleton.A goal up in the last few minutes, he's not going to bring a striker on.
Stat Wankers! What difference does it make whether it's Saturday or Tuesday?
Timpers I agree that Mitchell is Mr Duracell Bunny BUT he is careless with his distribution and I just think he needs a little bit more composure on the ball.Lazy, are you blind, the guy was a machine 2nd half, never stopped. Creates first goal and wins the penalty.
Well if you only win on a tuesday, it's more than likely you could be relegated. What difference does it make whether it's Saturday or Tuesday?
My view on this is that I don't like Ward playing alongside Dougall. With Virtue and Stewart out that role has to go to Robson. That little snippet of my post is a dangerous one if people take it out of context !

Not this season when your playing every Tues. Meaningless stat .Well if you only win on a tuesday, it's more than likely you could be relegated.
Once Husband, Marv and Ballard are available it also means Garbutt can play on the left flank too. Grettarson can play CB and LB too.My view on this is that I don't like Ward playing alongside Dougall. With Virtue and Stewart out that role has to go to Robson.
I'd play Ward ahead of Mitchell, Kaikai and Embleton but you could mix 2 out those three up during the game.
We are running a little bit short of options though.
Gretarsson should return (Critch said Thorniley had a niggle) and with Marv, Ballard and Hubby all available for selection soon we'll have to debate Turts/Gabriel, Marv/Ballard and Hubby/Garbutt.
And if you only win at home on a tuesday the same is true. Only, if you've barely played at home on a Saturday all year and you win a large percentage of all the games you play elsewhere, it becomes a meaningless statistic.Well if you only win on a tuesday, it's more than likely you could be relegated.
It's an observation that's all.And if you only win at home on a tuesday the same is true. Only, if you've barely played at home on a Saturday all year and you win a large percentage of all the games you play elsewhere, it becomes a meaningless statistic.
I think we did a job on ourselves to be honest.Well played Plymouth. Did a job on us
No they didn't play well in the end. They played OK in the middle part of the game. Just what they were doing at the start and the end is anybody's guess but, like others have said previously, by handing the initiative to the opposition for the last 10-15 minutes is suicide. Pool were controlling the game, high presssing and Plymouth were getting nowhere until it was decided to change it all. 2 points thrown away in my book. They did in the end.
