I don't suppose the main factor here is whether they make it in their respective national teams or not. I'm just hoping that when they get their chance in a Blackpool shirt they grab it with both hands.
Now if either goes on to get call ups to their national teams over the course of this...
Sounds like a fair comment on Madine's impact on the team. I'd also add that pairing Madine upfront with Jerry Yates might help to replicate JY's role last season when he partnered Eoin Doyle quite successfully. At the moment I'm wondering if the current system is actually suiting Yates at all
Just had a quick look on the Accy website, Tarik Uwakwe is 20 , maybe age really is no barrier ? Oh and yep , knowing we released ( or 'they' released ) Dion Charles is becoming a little painful .
Interesting to read their manager has told them if they're anywhere near the box then take a...
Didn't anticipate this subject coming up tbh! Think we are all keen to see us become a bit more secure at the back whichever way NC goes about it . If this loan comes off then by the sound of it it can't harm can it? BTW Shane Duffy also comes from Derry and also chose the Republic over...
Some very interesting questions Voy, just to pick a few of them out , I'm gonna guess that Shaw will force his way into the squad and team fairly soon .
Yates had a very good season with Swindon albeit in League Two last time out while Hardie had largely the season from hell until Ryan Lowe...
Phil Lynott for me too, loved the Thunder and Lightning album . Also did some good stuff with Gary Moore after that . Was shockingly young when he died though, what can you say?
Remember feeling quite hopeful with that squad tbf , also really liked the kit that year. Which two players are in your 5 -a side Rox ? Or can you give us a few clues ?
Yes it's a one off game sadly but still , a great draw for them. It also helps put a few of the Shamrock players in the shop window . Seem to remember Enda Steven's get his career off the ground that way after scoring in a European tie and getting his move to England off the back of it
Really sorry to hear this news but his efforts in Northern Ireland over many decades will be long remembered . A very genuine guy and proof that not all politicians are the same
Very sad day
Regarding Tony Weston I really don't think it's a case of the club letting him go . He couldn't actually sign a professional contract with us till he turned 17 . If he goes on to have a great career, which hopefully he will, it will still be pretty painful knowing we were his first club.
I'd go for Pat McGinley as well . He went on to play for Hibs and Celtic when we could really have done with him . Rickie Lambert and Richie Wellens absolutely !
That's what I read as well, Glass. The report at the time was that the two later convicted fled the country . Allegedly and according to what's online , when Michael Barton contacted his brother for help Joey urged him to give himself up .
