Attitudes have changed with the passage of time. Forty years ago I found his form of comedy near the knuckle but I watched and laughed with the rest. Today it leaves me sad thinking that I ever did that.

Just to clarify retaliatory measures because of a an undemocratic dictatorial so called union. To clarify further my position was and is as a firm believer in the "Common Market" and increased European co-operation.
We probably will notice retaliatory boarder measures when travel is allowed. I would expect nothing less of the EU. It is the reason so many voted to leave.
The Lancashire police are to be commended for getting their priorities right and putting their resources to the best use. It is a shame that this does not apply equally to the whole of the country.

Derbyshire police are not the best example nationally, they have a poor reputation when it comes to dealing with the law abiding public. This action was repeated throughout the county involving a large amount of police resources.

Do we have an opposition? That is the problem! An engaged opposition helps to keep a government on their toes and make them account for their actions. Tory infighting has had a greater roll to play than the Labour party in the last three parliaments.
Yes language and context has changed over time and it could be argued that some in society have not kept up but that argument cannot apply to the head of such an influential organisation.
