Have played tennis with Kevin for the past 30 years at South Shore tennis club, he was a wonderful man, who had time for everyone, and helped everybody young or old, to play tennis . RIP Kevin, you will be sadly missed.
Played in a cup final at bloomfield road, took up refereeing after I finished playing, and refereed pool reserves, at bloomfield road, Billy Ayre was the manager, he came in the changing room after the game and had a good chat about pool, great guy
I said after the first game of the season, last year, away to Bristol City, Connelly was not a right back, he is a good midfield player, but he is helping the team out, at the moment, needs must.
Very poor preston team, deserved the win, shame our worst performance of the season, was tonight, but at the start of the season, l would have been satisfied to finish 4th from bottom, and stay up, and build our championship status, next season, job done
My thoughts on that day was Connelly is not a right back, and James was not a midfield player, I would have probably dropped both of them, but l am not a top manager.
Watched Connelly, at Bristol, 1st game of the season, thought he was awful, but since he has moved to midfield, he looks a decent player, good ball winner, and is improving every game
I remember back in the day, when he was manager, the team were staying at the De Vere hotel, when I left at 10 PM on Friday night, He was still at the bar, with all the players, all drinking, they lost 4-0, happy days.
Haven't read all the post's so it might have been said already, but Coventry were away, and winning 1-0, and kept 2 players up front for our corners, we are so negative and pull everyone back for there corners.
