Birmingham v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 27.11.21

better team but just got to create more. Just worried about their aerial threat on set plays.

On top for the last 30 mins.
Lavery on for ?
Mitchell has been good but I think Bowler could rip these a new one

They must be blowing a bit. We've run them all over the pitch and all they have is a long throw. As said above, could be a game made for Bowler to get back to form.

Anderson on the ball taking players on is very good but he's got to get his head up and passing better.

HT Bham 0-0 Pool.

Birmingham started the game trying to boss us off the ball, we absorbed the pressure well. Dale with a couple of decent balls in, Keshi the stand out through the middle, Bham went completely quiet and we should have at least bagged from a couple of counterattacks. Bham can’t deal with our pace and all they do is try to throw it long into the box. To be fair Pedersen made a very good tackle in the box to stop Keshi. We need something from this game.

Come on POOL.

Was Critch possibly expecting it to be a lot harder to get into the box, hence Madine being there for an early cross option instead. I think he’s a bit redundant tactically in this game, I would get Jerry on for the second half.
Madines hold up play has been immense and he has Sanderson all over the place to boot

Nothing much to add to what's already been said and is there for everyone to see.
We've just got to hit the target when we shoot as a bare minimum and take a split seconds more thought before
that final pass.

I think Lavery could do a job. He was going into challenges against West Brom's big men and coming out with the ball. I also think he's hungry for a goal.

Spot on.

Was just about to put that Madine isn't really suiting the flow of the game, need someone who is gonna grab at a half chance and bury it like Yates or Lavery!

Hope today isn't going to be one of those games where we look back at that period of dominance in the first half and think "if only we'd capitalised"

A second half showing as strong as the first and we'd be very unlucky not to score. COME ON YOU POOL!
