I too hope the posh attack us, but have a seriously bad day and we trounce them ! However, I would take a point now.I was very impressed with our high pressing game against Oxford and the way we stopped them playing out from the back. It goes without saying that such tactics only work against sides which play out from the back. Good homework from Critch and nice to watch. Crewe did the same against us and we struggled to get into the game. We do seem to do well against teams that come at us rather than those that park the bus so I hope the Posh attack us.
Want us to win even more after seeing that slapped arse of a face. I know Robinson got grilled for his post match assessment on Saturday but I hate Ferguson jnr with a passion.
We’ll winMy pessimism won’t allow me to predict a pool win. 1-2
If this were Wimbledon or Gillingham I’d be concerned about Turton being outmuscled all game and beaten in the air - but against Peterborough his positional sense is what matters and that’s one of Turtons big strengths. So the CBs are Turts and Thorniley
Gabriel is also quite good and quick sweeping up acoss the back line.Strong Team. Quite happy with Turton playing at Centre Back. His positional play is top notch and Peterborough don’t play high balls so that and his extra pace when compared to Ballard and Thornily should be helpful. Gabriel obviously is rapid too so as long as he tracks back and does his defensive duties well tonight the defensive should be as strong as ever.
