Embarrassed

What have we become ?
1/Giving shit to the Sandgrownun who has repositioned his life to become our custodian and spent tens of millions so far and with more to follow
2/ Remonstrating with our best player because he fcuked up a chance
3/ Booing the team
We are better than this
Or at least we should be
We constantly boast about being the best fans, and sometimes we certainly are.

But, we are seeing some pretty embarrassing behaviour at the moment that’s making us all look totally pathetic by association 👎

It’s not new Lala, it’s been like this at Pool for as long as I’ve been a supporter. I told my son to expect it.

We have always created a great atmosphere home & away, but like society generally, some behaviour is inherited. I believe the 2 moaning clowns at the back of the South are father & son. It was though heartening to hear the comments toward them today. It’s always been a minority and for the life of me, I don’t know why they bother. They are that unhappy from minute 1, they may as well burn their cash and be happier.

One thing to voice opinions over transfer not getting done or a poor result here or there, but the level of toxicity that some fans have gone to the past few weeks has been absurd.

It's like spoiled children who don't get their way.

Sadler has come in and given us everything we could have asked for and more and now that things aren't going as smoothly as they have been some think it's the end of the world.

Some people seriously need to take a look at the big picture here.

I said exactly the same to my wife during Critchleys first season, he was very lucky it was behind closed doors, during the dodgy first 10 or 15 games he would have been bood every game.
Best fans my ass

I completely agree with you Tim, this fan base at the moment is a complete joke, no wonder the nobbers are laughing at us, it’s pathetic. Them so called fans need to either support the team or don’t come again.

Good post. We deserve nothing if we can't get behind our team during a bit of adversity. These halfwits booing and slagging all and sundry need callng out for what they are at the time it happens. Too late doing it on here to cover our embarrassment.

On the most part the fans will behave in a certain way, ie on the back of transfers, no transfers, then the manager gets it, it’s not Rocket Science?
Let’s see what next week brings?

My highlight of last year was

"** hell Madine, stop ** about pulling up your socks you **"
(10 minutes passes)
"pull your socks up Bowler you ** lazy **"

There are people who seem to go to football to just rage.

I don't really get it. I can get angry and I can moan, but at points today, it felt like some people around me had no affection for anyone on the team, the club, the whole thing.

Chucking stuff at Sadler is absolutely mental. I don't agree with a some things he's done. I agree with a lot. I don't think he can possibly be spoken about in even the same breath as the preivous owners. He's got a really difficult job trying to get a town club where very few town clubs are.

I'm a bit bored of the fact everything has to be a fight. Sometimes you lose. Sometimes you get to Wembley, sometimes it's 0-0.

Yup. Significant bunch of mongs in our fan base. Completely scarred from the Oyston days. A lag between supporting us in the premier league and supporting us now. Infuriating.

If someone has given Simon Sadler abuse today then they are a complete whopper…
I think the way people behave and conduct themselves has changed and I’m afraid that includes some of our supporters….it’s how it is nowadays I’m afraid…

They did, and they are.
I think Sadler as a club owner should've risen above it and ignored the mindless idiot, but then again I'm glad he responded.

It just shows you how little credit you get in football, for all the good Sadler has done and is doing for the club, a few bad results and some are turning on the owner/manager/team. Quite frankly the booing was a disgrace, as was anyone giving abuse to Simon. We've revelled in how much praise we've had about the atmosphere we create but on today's showing we should be ashamed.

1/ Bit ripe from you Tim after you lambasted the club over ticketing prices for away games on the last pod. Surely the "sandgrownun" has a say in that.
Aside that being verbally abused at the match face to face is out of order.
I'm grateful for all he's done but can't help think that he thinks he's bitten off more than he can chew.
2/ This is a culmination of a number of games and talking to someone in the ground today we agreed that whilst Josh is a cracking player and you always have the sence of anticipation that something will happen, it normally doesn't and for every Bournemouth goal you'll get 6 or 7 frustrating matches where you're pulling your hair out(yesterday being one of them).
3/ I'll admit I was royally pissed off with yesterday's performance, 1st half especially but didn't boo the team.

With over 50 years of supporting this club through thick and thin, mainly thin , I've seen some dross. I've also been on this board over the last few years defending Critchley and his tactics when things weren't looking too good as I could see what was trying to be achieved.
I even came on here and chatted to the lads in the pub asking to give Appleton time and not to take his short tenure last time into consideration unfortunately I can't see what Appleton is trying to achieve in the last 3 games and preseason, with the players looking devoid of ideas.

It's a sad state of affairs when you're only allowed to praise and not criticise.
I for one cannot see light at the end of the tunnel, some who always wear their tangerine tinted specks will always see it another way a la emperors new clothes.
I suppose the next 17 days will define our season, I hope, for the better.

I suspect a lot of this stems from the Rosenior saga, a lot of the fans fell for Nixon and others claim that he was nailed on for the job, so when that didn't happen (and I for one don't believe he was ever offered it), that created the impression that Appleton was second choice, that the club's preferred manager was happier staying in L1, that the club couldn't get managers and then transfers across the line etc............

We’ve been in this position (and worse!) before but we’ll get out of it.

I thoroughly enjoy the company of the people I socialise with pre/post game. So, we’ll be there next week…….and so on. Will the “Uber” critics f…….

Constructive criticism about a pricing policy that also made a suggestion as to how to overcome the inequity for our away fans is hardly the same Wizzer !

10s of millions?? Calm down. It’s all given to the club as a loan. He’ll get it back.

You condone illegally bringing pyrotechnics into the ground but people who have paid good money can’t berate the players or owner? What planet are you on?

I appreciate the work that’s been done with the club but let’s not lose sight of the fact that the things he’s done and is doing are his to do. He bought the club, he wasn’t forced into it. Most people only care about the team and this season so far he has failed to provide adequate backing for his manager.

If he can’t or won’t back him then he needs to rethink his priorities or find a buyer with the wherewithal to support his manager. No amount of blowing smoke up his arse is going to change the fact he isnt rich enough to compete at this level.

He’s a fan
He will be have been really pissed off at losing
Then a numpty starts giving him shit as if he’s to blame
He’s right to respond
Ultimately he is too blame. He’s failed, so far, to adequately back his manager. 3 games in it doesn’t look good. From the same 3 fixtures last season we picked up 9 pts.

1/ He must be north of £25m ( purchase / improvements and three years losses ) and with the capital expenditure on training ground and the east it’s going to be £40m plus even without factoring in year on year losses No one is giving him all that back if he ever sells

2/ Saying a three year banning order is too harsh when the stewards turned a blind eye to Rangers full on display two weeks earlier isn’t condoning the use of pyrotechnics 🙄

After what this club has been through in the dark Oyston days you'd think people would know better, you really would.

Simon Saddler came along and was a knight in shining armour for this club and this town and has ploughed millions of his own cash in taking this club to where we are today.

Whatever decisions he makes will be 100% in the best interests of this football club and always will be.

To verbally abuse a man like SS after what he's done is the equivalent of verbally abusing someone that's saved your life by giving you CPR after a heart attack because you found out he happens to be a Man U fan.

We're all pissed off with the current form and myself (like many other fans) had reservations about the appointment of Apples and giving him a 4 year contract as well.

Whether I agree with the decision or not is irrelevant, there is no way I'm ever going to give the board any abuse over it, nor will i slag off players or the manager at games because supporting a football club is not what that is all about, the key word here is "supporters" us supporters go to games to "support" the team, every club has some grade A bell ends in their ranks and some more than others, it's in situations like we have right now you find out exactly who they are, and if you're in any doubt they soon open their mouths and 100% confirm it.

TAM is right in what he's saying and it's closer to his heart than anyone's, if you want to have a whinge then post your shite on here or go and have a whinge in the boozer post match, but at the games lets try to live up to what many are saying about Blackpool FC fans being the best in the division in the support we give our club.

If I hear anyone slagging of SS after what he's done for us they can expect my size 10 boot swinging at their meat and two veg I promise you that. 😲

Of course multi billionaires grow on trees in Blackpool and are lining up to buy theclub. What absolute nonsense. In 50 years Sadler is best owner I have seen at BFC and has invested most. Name a better owner we have had. The sense of entitlement to have owners pour money into a club without limit is bonkers. UTMP.

How is he intending to finance the capital projects? He certainly does not have £40m to spend. Surely he won’t be using the club as collateral when he finances it?!

Other than the initial purchase, which was cheap, every penny is on the accounts, as a ‘loan’ please correct me if I’m wrong.

If you think a very hard nosed businessman is going to throw £40m at something for the love of it then you’re more delusional than I thought you were.

Top post that. Well said. 👍

Bisons all over the place as usual, bless him.

As a father and son duo at the back of the South I’m really hoping this isn’t us !! Must admit to being negative during that dreadful first half but as those around us agreed and seeing as we’re usually pretty positive I’m going to assume we’re not the moaning clowns 😂

Good points but spoiled by the usual offer of violence in your last paragraph.
