Well it didn’t do Maggie any harm watching the task force set sail to the Falklands. What a load of old bollocks this is! I suppose it allows Boris to impress his supporters.

Well you can thank one of your hero’s for that simply no one else to blame here.I knew Brexit would stir up trouble again in Northern Ireland but didn't see us going to war over Jersey. Brexit, the gift that just keeps giving.
What are they going to do, blow the seventy French fishing boats out of the water? This is what the French do, they stick up for what they believe. Protest is in their DNA. A French Government minister has made a stupid remark that the British press have seized upon and all of a sudden, some people start saying the French have declared war. What a load of shite!Well it didn’t do Maggie any harm watching the task force set sail to the Falklands.
Exactly what are they going to do.What are they going to do, blow the seventy French fishing boats out of the water? This is what the French do, they stick up for what they believe. I don’t agree. Sending two warships could escalate matters. Hopefully not, but who knows. As far as the Europeans are concerned, we’re not the most trustworthy!Exactly what are they going to do.
The Frogs are the aggressors here so it’s up to them what happens next.
Get a grip, it isn’t going to happenIs the EU, this holier than thou organisation which endlessly propounds the principles of human rights and fairness, really going to allow one of its members to cut supplies of heat and power to a small island where its actions will put lives at serious risk? Surely, this can only be described as a dangerous act of terrorism.
So The Rosbif aren't being the aggressors then with their war ships?Exactly what are they going to do.
The Frogs are the aggressors here so it’s up to them what happens next.
Of course there not 100 French trawlers are descending on the Chanel islands that’s aggression for you it’s a clear threat to the islanders. So The Rosbif aren't being the aggressors then with their war ships?
Course it isn't going to happen. France has already made itself into the laughing stock of Europe. It can't make itself even more ridiculous with its elections looming.Get a grip, it isn’t going to happen
Are you talking about France or the UK?Course it isn't going to happen. France has already made itself into the laughing stock of Europe. It can't make itself even more ridiculous with its elections looming.
Yeah people in this country tried to stand up for what they believed in the referendum. Now there all mostly called thick, xenophobic Nazis. What are they going to do, blow the seventy French fishing boats out of the water? This is what the French do, they stick up for what they believe. Protest is in their DNA. A French Government minister has made a stupid remark that the British press have seized upon and all of a sudden, some people start saying the French have declared war. So one side declares an intention to peacefully sail into Jersey waters and later to return back to French ports, and the other side send in war ships with canon and guns. You believe the peaceful sailors are the aggressive ones?Of course there not 100 French trawlers are descending on the Chanel islands that’s aggression for you it’s a clear threat to the islanders.
Why do you always see things differently than anyone else?
Tv news just been showing one of the ‘peaceful’ French boats ramming one of ours. The French boat should be boarded and siezed. So one side declares an intention to peacefully sail into Jersey waters and later to return back to French ports, and the other side send in war ships with canon and guns. You believe the peaceful sailors are the aggressive ones?
A common theme since Brexit is that you always blame everybody else for all the trouble Brexit is bringing the UK. Brexit made enemies of friends, put up barriers where none existed, attempted (but failed) to put selfishness before unselfishness and has now caused countless problems for our country and you still try to stick up for it.
Your clearly or deliberately missing the point here.So one side declares an intention to peacefully sail into Jersey waters and later to return back to French ports, and the other side send in war ships with canon and guns. You believe the peaceful sailors are the aggressive ones?

Bully some blokes in rusty old trawlers.Join the Navy. See the world: Learn a trade: Monitor fish.
You really are a total idiotSo one side declares an intention to peacefully sail into Jersey waters and later to return back to French ports, and the other side send in war ships with canon and guns. You believe the peaceful sailors are the aggressive ones?

Why has the French Maritime Minister threatened to cut off Jersey’s electricity ?If that idiot of a president wasn't threatening switching the electricity off or indeed 100 trawler skippers and crew weren’t threatening a blockade then the two warships wouldn’t be there and we wouldn’t be discussing it would we?
Can you not see that?
That’s why I’am blaming the French how the he’ll can anyone blame us here? (Apart from you obviously)
It’s clearly an act of aggression and even if you can’t see it I’am pretty dam sure 99.9% of others can.
Can you imagine the stink if 100 British Trawlers sailed in to Dunkirk or Dieppe harbours what the reaction would be? And that’s not even threatening switching any electricity off.
Seriously open your eyes and for once stand by your so called country.
Block the knobheads in.Lots of French fishing vessels now in the harbour at St Helier, not sure how this is going to end up but it’s very concerning.
Take another step back and you will see it is Brexit that has caused this issue which is a British made problem.Your clearly or deliberately missing the point here.

Have you made this up. Just asking as nothing about it on t’internet.Tv news just been showing one of the ‘peaceful’ French boats ramming one of ours. The French boat should be boarded and siezed.
do fcuk off FY8. The French trawlers came to bully us, so we gave them a bit more than they bargained for.Bully some blokes in rusty old trawlers.
who? FY8, BHOK or Shandy? I'd say all 3.You really are a total idiot
It's all part of the weird and wonderful make up of the 'United' Kingdom in that they aren't apparently part of the UK and weren't allowed to vote in the EU referendum but then are British when it comes to water even though the island isn't in the British Isles, whilst they apparently rule themselves but can't defend themselves (where's Bergerac when you need him?).Genuine question, as the Channel Islands weren't members of the EU and are not members of the UK why have they introduced post Brexit restrictions and new licensing arrangements?
Media outlets saying that French trawler men are there to protest. Clearly you have other sources. Mind you, BBC have just corrected info re French warships, apparently police and admin vessels so who knowsThe French trawlers came to bully us, so we gave them a bit more than they bargained for.
No what you really couldn't make up is some of the weird, wonderful and plain idiotic things you come out with. It's all part of the weird and wonderful make up of the 'United' Kingdom in that they aren't apparently part of the UK and weren't allowed to vote in the EU referendum but then are British when it comes to water even though the island isn't in the British Isles, whilst they apparently rule themselves but can't defend themselves (where's Bergerac when you need him?).
Anyone would think it was just being kept as a tax haven for the British rich. You really can't make it up.
No I can have a decent debate with FY8 and Shandy even if we have differences of opinion. And that's how it should be. However, the minute you disagree with BHOK he either ignores you or goes crying to the mods like a petulant child.who? FY8, BHOK or Shandy? I'd say all 3.
if your so in love with europe why dont you just move there??????I knew Brexit would stir up trouble again in Northern Ireland but didn't see us going to war over Jersey. Brexit, the gift that just keeps giving.
It's the damage caused on the UK by Brexit that is my concern. Maybe those who don't care about the UK's self inflicted problems would be better off leaving first?if your so in love with europe why dont you just move there??????
Last time I looked the UK was still in Europe!if your so in love with europe why dont you just move there??????
no a vote was taken to leave democraticaly so we left end of has the sky fallen in NO has the world stopped turning NO get over itIt's the damage caused on the UK by Brexit that is my concern. Maybe those who don't care about the UK's self inflicted problems would be better off leaving first?
Strange person all roundBHOK thinks stirring up trouble in Northern Ireland and going to war over Jersey is "the gift that just keeps giving".
What a strange mentality.
I don't share your osterrich head-in-the-sand view. It's problem after problem, most of which could be removed by re-entering the Single Market. Standing by and letting the UK slide deeper ino trouble is not for me.no a vote was taken to leave democraticaly so we left end of has the sky fallen in NO has the world stopped turning NO get over it
Can't wait for the Billy Big Bollocks insults, can ya?Quick let's mobilise the navy. Lots of flag shaggers to impress the night before elections
Apparently so, shows evidence of Superstate attitude to me.Is the EU, this holier than thou organisation which endlessly propounds the principles of human rights and fairness, really going to allow one of its members to cut supplies of heat and power to a small island where its actions will put lives at serious risk? Surely, this can only be described as a dangerous act of terrorism.
OK, fair enough, so Brexit has caused this problem, are you saying we should have been bullied into staying with the EU? Is this action just to keep the other smaller members in line with the bully boys?Take another step back and you will see it is Brexit that has caused this issue which is a British made problem.
Jersey is so close to France that it is swimmable from the mainland. So if France said you couldn't fish off Blackpool because they owned Knott End, you'd sit back and think it was OK?
No, certainly not made up. On GMB several times this morning. Two French vessels harassing a local one as it came in to dock. One hit it once and then seemed to go for it again before local craft evaded.Have you made this up. Just asking as nothing about it on t’internet.
It does however mention that a French warship is also heading for Jersey
Ridiculous situation engineered initially by Jersey authorities it would seem
