Maxwell has been absolutely terrible since Grimmy became first pick last season. He flaps about at everything. The corner they scored from (because of awful goalkeeping) shouldn’t have been a corner because Maxwell shouldn’t have tipped the pea roller of a shot round the post.

In a weird way I don’t think a pasting here is as bad as it seems.

It's not the end of the world but there is more to these games than just match fitness.

Loans presumably, or hoping to luck out on a few cheap lower EFL punts. I hope the players who are still here do take to Appleton as he won't be able to immediately swap everyone out for people who he thinks will listen to him and his way. Sounds from JH like they got a lot from working with Critchley. Taught them stuff and got them thinking, even if watching it could be frustrating. It's a big upheaval.
