Well that will go well in the Far East when the game doesn’t go ahead....😉😉

( and with many an armchair supporter with sky💩💩)

...not the best advert for social distancing either😳😳...

Nothing like protesting when your clubs on the verge of winning something for the first time in years.

Second in the premier league, champions league football next season guaranteed and through to the Europa league cup final and they want the owners out. 😂

Yes and fair play to them. Equivalent of us , or most of us not going to the play off final against Exeter.

I don't see the link between a relatively successful season and poor owners? Does being in the Europa League semi-final mean everything's okay? Was everything reet when we went to Wembley against Exeter? We went up, so everything was fine, right?

I'm not sure they are protesting about their on field performances although to be fair I doubt they'd be protesting if they were top of the Premier League.

We should have probably been protesting about the Oyston's far sooner than we did.

I seem to remember that some supporters on here were critical of the Oyston's when we were in the Premier League but were often silenced.

You beat me to it Cestrian.

Whenever any other club was protesting at the time we were, many on here used to say what are they moaning about they've just won this or they've just won that as if protesting was all about on field performance.

This is much needed and it's funny seeing sky sports shitting themselves that this game might not go ahead all after they stoked up the anti European super league stuff. Then there's Jurgen Klopp who might realise the strength of feeling after his patronising comments that we should all just calm down and move on.
This might be Man Utd but those protesters deserve support, we should know that more than anybody.

I remember getting dogs a use with a few other fans on the Back Henry because we suggested protesting and hitting Oyston in the pocket.
We all came together eventually.

The one thing I hated about the whole ESL thing was Sky Sports and Gary Neville being painted as the saviours of football.

If Sky had been involved in the broadcasting of the new league, they wouldn't have given a feck and it wouldn't have mattered what Gary Neville thought as they wouldn't have let him open his North and South and he would have obeyed their orders.

There's a lot of ifs and buts in that theory.

Yet they still continue to fund the Glazers
Exactly. Funny how LU Trust has jumped on this but our owner is taken a huge lump out in stadium rent every season, and they haven't done a thing to challenge it.

ManU have been ripping off their fans for years including making them pay top coin for midweek matches, but neither their Trust nor the main body of supporters hasn't done anything to halt that.

And we funded the Oystons for decades.
That's the viscous circle as it were where if stop following the team then they win.

Some might find it difficult to understand how people can support a club owned by a convicted rapist too, where for instance Sheffield United were reminded of their community responsibilities when it happened to them.

Of course there is, when I was talking about what might/would have happened.

Would you rather I concentrate on what HAS happened ?

What did supporters think about Sky Sports when football accepted them to broadcast their breakaway league in the 90's ?

Has Gary Neville ever been critical of Sky ?

I know what you're saying but there's one critical difference with the PL in that it's not a closed shop, Sky are obviously the anti Christ but fans can still dream of the riches for their clubs.

It's really easy to be critical of any protest, do you know anyone who stopped going in the PL season because it was Sky money? Did that negate our protest? Was anyone laughing walking out of Wembley in 2012 because it meant we didn't sully the club with tainted Sky money?

It's also very easy to be critical of our protest for anyone on the outside of it.

There's also an argument that protests don't actually work, it's just a moral choice for each individual, we were on the winning side against the Oystons but we didn't win it, VB did, no VB and the Oystons would still be here regardless.

In this context you are correct but in practice the PL is a closed shop, unless club owners risk potential bankruptcy in trying to get there; that's why Derby and Sheffield Weds are on the verge of relegation and why Sunderland and Portsmouth are in L1.
You'll find out soon about the glass ceilings as you (hopefully) move up the divisions, but its changed massively since Ollie took you up.
