Just watched Calibre on Netflix, a film set in the Scottish Highlands. worth a watch.
Binge watched both seasons of Slow Horses over Christmas and really enjoyed it. Gary Oldman is superb in the lead role.just started season 2 of Slow Horses. Enjoying it.
Been watching King of Tulsa and Yellowstone after reading reviews on here and elsewhere, but imo, neither comes close to the likes of Ozarks and Breaking Bad.
I’m looking forward to The Last Of Us, can’t wait.Tulsa King seems to be missing the depth of story that BB & Ozark had and quickly glosses over the main bit's to get to another scene with Sly being moody and tough
Shame..but it's a good watch...just hope they take a bit more time on the story for Season 2 and develop it
Yellowstone (Season1) is just the set up....2, 3 and 4 which is where we get deep into the story...More brandings, bombings, shoot outs, brawls in the bunk house, crazy dreams of Wolves, rattlesnakes in picnic boxes and Kevin Costner being "Tough"......1923 is also developing nicely.
Only draw back is a bit too much Rodeo and barrel racing......and way too much dodgy C&W music....although I do own a couple of albums by Ryan Bingham (The guy branded in S1)......
The Next 'Must See' programme will be on Sky on the 16th Jan..........The Last Of Us..........
That’s the one. Couldn’t remember the name. Starts 15th Jan. 16th on Now TVI’m looking forward to The Last Of Us, can’t wait.
Isn’t that film by the people who did Knives Out?We’ve just finished Without Sin on ITVX which we enjoyed. A very interesting story and not the ending you would have ever guessed.
Has anyone else watched that Glass Onion thing on Netflix, sorry if it has been mentioned I really enjoyed it but my Mrs thought it was absolutely shite.
Isn’t that film by the people who did Knives Out?
I didn’t realise it was on Netflix, I’ll have a go at that
Yeh it’s a great film but Daniel Craig doing a prime Foghorn Leghorn accent is a bit off puttingYes I believe so all though I must admit I haven’t seen the original knives out so don’t know if they are similar or anything, does Daniel Craig have a ridiculous accent in that film as well?
Your Mrs is right...We’ve just finished Without Sin on ITVX which we enjoyed. A very interesting story and not the ending you would have ever guessed.

I enjoyed it, as well as Knives Out. They’re supposed to be a tongue in cheek homage to Agatha Christie, so shouldn’t be taken too seriously.Your Mrs is right...
Knives Out is the first one... Glass Onion was the follow up, both good - though i actually thought Knives Out was better!I enjoyed glass onion, film on Netflix, Daniel Craig with a bad American accent but even though it’s daft I loved it, follow up film also on Netflix is knives out, I’m halfway through it but it’s not as good so far
Nice one thanks for that, I’ll watch it tonightKnives Out is the first one... Glass Onion was the follow up, both good - though i actually thought Knives Out was better!
TreasonJust finished the second series of Alice in Borderland. Wow wow wow - one of the best things I’ve watched and not let down with a disappointing ending like so many series. it had you guessing on what was going on throughout
Absolutely brilliant programme and reckon i've seen every episode, love Det Jason White from the Tulsa section, he's a top rozzer! The First 48 on all 4
If you like true-life detective stuff you will love this as it's on season 24 now and that's some going with those fickle Yanks.
I have been watching it since series 1 over the years and I am addicted.Absolutely brilliant programme and reckon i've seen every episode, love Det Jason White from the Tulsa section, he's a top rozzer!
The books are great tooYep, just finished series 2 of Slow Horses. It just got better and better. Look forward to series 3 and as some-one said Gary Oldman is brilliantly cast.
Thanks to whoever recommended. Will trawl back a bit to find my next binge watch.
Another series? OMG if you liked Ozark then you will enjoy Queen of the SouthOzark is probably my favourite series of the last couple of years, really good and yet so few people seem to have watched it. Didn't realise a new season is out in Jan, but should be good considering how the last one ended
Lee - Not sure how old the post was you responded to but there is no future series of Ozark. S4 was the last.Another series? OMG if you liked Ozark then you will enjoy Queen of the South
Yes I've just realised we'll actually I told Jane and she didn't believe there could be so we googled it and then I realised that was an old post doh! thanks MattLee - Not sure how old the post was you responded to but there is no future series of Ozark. S4 was the last.
mmmm.... not an avid reader, apart from AVFTT and that takes up enough of my time. A couple of books on holiday is a must but that's about it.The books are great too
you could personally right a book about the AVFFT but if you do don’t forget to mention the Welsh Fella otherwise he will get upset again!mmmm.... not an avid reader, apart from AVFTT and that takes up enough of my time. A couple of books on holiday is a must but that's about it.
seriously, I've never had a problem with Phil and that's going back many years when there were far more serious issues going on and disagreements between us. Think he's an excellent poster, prepared to speak his mind even knowing it's contrary to popular opinion. There's always merit to what he has to say and he always backs up what he says with reasoning. Whether you agree with it or not. He's quite thoughtful in what he has to say. Sure, he might wind people up and he may well know he's doing that but many people bite at what he has to say. Why? Because maybe there's a lot of truth in it.you could personally right a book about the AVFFT but if you do don’t forget to mention the Welsh Fella otherwise he will get upset again!
Breaking Bad right up there with the best. Better Call Saul a slow burner to begin with. But well worth sticking with. Jimmy is a great character and it well developsPloughed through Breaking Bad (all episodes) in 3 weeks. Watched El Camino and really enjoyed it. Now onto Better Call Saul and absolutely loving it… hence the current username.
Thanks for that; probably the saddest thing I've ever watchedWe watched Mayflies last night on the BBC I player, absolutely superb two part series I'd highly recommend it.
Just started the S2 binge watch - rewatched S1 over Xmas.Hunters 2. Absolutely banging.
