not sure its that defensive. james is better going forward than defending, when hes in the opposing half he seems to play more naturally, gabriel can drive forward and works well down the flank. then CJ bowler and Shayne, pace, the abillity to steal the ball off defenders, and attcak them and be a constant pain in the armpit. Connolly doing what he does which is getting in the face of opposition midfielders, and occasionally driving forward, and king kenny putting a bit of calm and not inconsiderable steel in the midfield as well ashaving some vision for a pass to get one or more of the front three away.
