What is your Chinese takeaway of choice?

Ribs or chicken wings
Chicken and sweetcorn soup
Crispy shredded beef in spicy Peking sauce or sweet and sour king prawn
Egg fried rice and soft noodles

OK Diner in Thornton is the best Chinese Takeaway on the Fylde Coast

Spare Ribs in Capital Sauce
Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings
Half Crispy Duck with Pancakes and Hoisin etc
Like a Crispy Shredded Beef in Capital Sauce or Szechuan Chicken/Kung Po Chicken
Egg Fried Rice
Noodles
Prawn Crackers

To share with the better half obviously - I’m not that greedy!
What is Capital sauce??

Me, wife and son used to do mid-week Chinese banquets, to get him into different types of food. Of course, we majored on the crispy duck and barely got through the mains.

None.
However we cook Chinese at home on average twice a week. Can’t see the point of paying “through the nose” for a take away which is usually a big disappointment...same with an “Indian”...which we probably eat every ten days or so.
Tomorrow it is a Tofu and Brocoli based dish with rice and panko prawns, etc.Sunday is “Auntie Siew Mei’s prawns” ( yes a family recipe),rice and most likely Tat Soi or Pak Choi( some of which will be home grown) and Shittake Mushrooms( with more Prawns😉).
We do like “prawns”😀

Do I get that you have oriental relations. Your 'home' menu sounds rather grand.

Usual order for the whole family would be:

Prawn crackers
Satay chicken skewers
Grilled pork dumplings
Prawn toast
Crispy duck
Crispy chilli beef
Roast pork curry
Chicken and cashews in yellow bean
Mixed veg
Singapore noodles
Special fried rice

Hot & Sour Soup
Chicken with Mushrooms
Egg Fried Rice

I go to the Oriental Chop Suey Bar - 20% off on Food Hub and foods really nice

share a special chow mein with sweet and sour chicken and egg fried rice so get both rice and noodles.

Ted, I used the OK regularly, only lived a minute down the road. Have to say, I always enjoyed eating in there but for some reason the takeaway never seemed as good.

God knows why, you watch it all get made in the same place when you're waiting for one.

But as much as I enjoy it, I find the Zen in Bispham is better quality. Slightly lighter sauces that don't sit as heavy if you're having a big eat.

Prawn crackers
Chicken curry samosas
Vegetable spring rolls
Chicken chow mein
And
Chicken fried rice
The best Chinese takeaway for me is golden bowl near the excelsior

So many great dishes but my go to dish is Singapore Vermicelli.
Also often ordered are:
Prawn toasties
Seaweed
Salt and chilli ribs or wings
Salt and chilli chips
Beef Panang
Sweet and sour chicken balls (or mixed special)
Crispy noodles
Special fried rice
Crispy won tons

Gotta love Jade Delight and when up north Sweet Zen.

Bloody starving now.

66, what I mean by that.

I do enjoy a sweet and sour, but sometimes the sauce can be thick and overpowering. Gloopy is how Mrs CGP describes it, and it can make eating it last, in a banquet especially, hard work. Zen's S&S isn't like that and I feel I can do the full portion without pushing it.

"We" cook !
Bleach, you just set the table. You are, apparently, on occasions permitted to chop onions; only on the proviso you take out the bins.

Mrs Bleach's carrot and coriander salad is legendary.

Sizzling beef in black bean sauce

ginger chicken

special fried rice

braised beef/pork belly

Ginger Cat with Black Bean Sauce. :)

What time do you want me there, thanks for the invite.

We do like our food and not just oriental or Indian but your assumption is correct as the other half is originally from a Penang in Malaysia.
Mind you she has been here since 1969😉😉 and poor soul married to me for coming up to 46 years....so there have been many rice and noodle dishes over that time.🍚🍚🍤🍤🍝🍝
