Brilliant football brain – one of the best and most under-valued players in the last 50 years IMO. Great player! Brett Ormerod’s another I’d add to BFC greats that never got the recognition they deserved. Brett was the best finisher since the days of Eamonnn O Keefe, Bob Hatton and Mickey Walsh!

Missed the game as I was taking my daughter back to uni in Southampton. From reading messageboard comments it looks like we played okay but no cutting edge (again). This will hopefully change as the season progresses but less confident this time around. We’ll probably come good January onwards...

He won’t be joining a League One club. Peterborough looking to cash in to someone in the Championship.

I’d be surprised if there aren’t a couple of strikers lined up (deals will probably happen closer to deadline) and a couple of wingers/wing backs.

Think we’ll be looking at an experienced pro (Billy Sharp/Chris Martin type) and a youngster on loan to bolster the forward ranks.

Why’s he been released if he’s decent?

This is a very good deal for us – quality finisher, good positional sense and has great ambition. Only 21 too!

Yates was always going to go – proven at Championship level. Fee could be seen as low but if a decent player is coming to us as part of the deal (hopefully Kyle Joseph) then not too disappointed - quality finisher. Joseph and Lavery would be a real handful in L1

He’ll be one of – if not the best – Championship striker next season. Very good player.

Both are future PL players. Would love to have them back but can’t see either dropping to L1 now unfortunately.
